5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy mechanical keyboard that is not too "clicky."
I got sick of constantly wearing out keyboards so finally decided to get a mechanical keyboard. I have had this one for over a year now and it is fantastic. I was worried that it would be too loud, but it is not a lot louder than the other keyboards I have owned, and it is much quieter than other mechanical keyboards I have heard.It is also nice that the keys sit far enough off the base that it is easy to blow dust out from it. The colors are nice, and the keys area really easy to see in the dark. I do a lot of photo editing, which is best in the dark and requires a bunch of funky key combinations that I have to look at the keyboard to do, so this is a nice feature. It also does not take up any more space than necessary given that it is a full sized keyboard with a keypad. It is a small rectangle that just fits the keys, so there is plenty of room on my desktop for a mousepad and full sized graphics tablet.I do not know what makes it a "gaming keyboard" other than having a full sized keypad on the side, which is a must for any keyboard I own regardless of games. When I think of a gaming keyboard I think of having a bunch of extra, programmable keys, which this does not have (They may be programmable, I never bothered to check, but there are no extra.). Regardless of gaming features, this was the perfect keyboard for me, and very affordable.

This has the best switches for gaming and you can choose between the blue & the red touch types as you prefer. For some reason though the charge $2.60 more for the red type. In case you are not aware here is a reprint from "Tom's Hardware" site explaining the different switch types:==========================Cherry MX Reds are some of the most widespread switches out there, and for good reason. These linear switches require 45 grams of force to actuate. The light touch makes them a good choice for both gaming and typing. The keys are also very quiet, particularly the MX Red Silent variant, which makes them good for office environments or crowded houses.Cherry MX Blacks are linear switches that are very similar to Reds, save that they require 60 g of force to actuate. They feel a little more resistant than Reds, and are also available in a Silent variant.Cherry MX Browns are some of the most popular switches in gaming keyboards. Browns are tactile switches that require 45 g of force to activate. They don't make much sound, and spring back very quickly after actuation.Cherry MX Blues are "clicky" switches, meaning they make audible clicking noises every time you depress them, like typewriters of old. Some users find the noise gratifying; others find it insufferable. You won't know until you try. Very smooth and quiet for a mechanical kb. I game on my tv in the living room and I wish I would have thought about the fact this thing is very narrow. I'm used to the big boards that have a lip around the outside to pick up and move around since I'm on teh couch and using coffee table for desk haha. Real hard to just pick it up without pressing a key but that's my bad. The kb is super responsive almost to a fault. I had to retrain my fingers because the lightest touch sets them off which is a good thing. Lots of settings for the lights which is nice and feels well built. Well worth the money!

I've been using this keyboard for a few months now and I have to say, it feels very nice. This keyboard is very loud however so if sound is an issue for you I would consider a quieter keyboard. Other than that, it has a very nice tactile feel, but I do notice that sometimes keys get stuck and don't register. I've cleaned the keyboard out several times (the keyboard nicely includes a small plastic tool that makes removing the keys safe and easy for cleaning) but the sticking persists at times even right after cleaning it and double checking it to make sure I cleaned it right. that might just be because of my constant use of the keyboard, but it can be pretty annoying, especially when the spacebar or letters like I or O on my keyboard get stuck. A firm press seems to fix the issue temporarily though, and for the the price that this keyboard sells at, it's really not that bad. The color changing modes are very fun to play with and I'd say it's very nice for a cheap mechanical keyboard with built-in lights.

So I never really leave reviews but I felt compelled because of how much I enjoy this product. I haven't had it for long, not even a full day, but so far I have been very impressed. To be honest I am not a gamer, but I do write. While my laptop has a great keyboard I wanted something a little extra and something fun. To be honest I just wanted the satisfying clacking sound and feeling of mechanial keyboard. This keyboard checks every box. It's realitively light butdoes not feel cheap or flimsy. The keys themselves are loud and tactile and just a pure joy to write on, and is very easy to just sit down and type. I found that I have not made a lot of mistakes (outside of my own bad spelling) or needed a grace period. While I find the lights distracting while typing that is admitidly a personal preference and when I'm not typing I do enjoy sitting and there and clicking through all the different options. Even though it hasn't been a full day yet I am very happy7 with this proudct, and I can't wait to see what I can create with this wounderful tool.
I love this keyboard!
I use this keyboard for 8-10 hours a day and I love it. Very responsive and comfortable to use. It’s substantial but not gigantic, and well put together. I specifically wanted a metal keyboard and not plastic.The various lighting options are nice too! I’ve had no issue with it at all after 2-3 months of use. Very happy with it!!

Great Keyboard
The quality is really good considering the price, a bit noisy, but after some rigorous lubing of all the key and some foam added inside the keyboard, it feels and sounds a lot better. It's pretty responsive and not cheap feeling. Too bad they don't factory lube the keys, it's a major downside.
