As pictured in the ad, the colors are deep and rich. I haven't used them yet, as they are for our rental space, so I can't comment on the absorbency or stain resistance, but they will protect my tables. The cork makes them adhere to the surface.

I was using a perfectly acceptable flower pot bottom as a coaster. It worked and fit in well with all the plants in my living room. My daughter finally looked at me as if I, too, was green. I ordered this coaster set just to stop the laughter.It is beautiful, adds a touch of “finish” that my previous coaster didn’t have. I highly recommend, it is perfect.

I’m very happy with this purchase! They’re attractive and they do seem to be more absorbent than other stone coasters - they are also lighter and comfortable to use. I like that there are 6 of them although I’m not crazy about the holder they are in - but it works so..The size is a little larger in diameter than some which is nice for mugs.
