They are good when I go slow. I usually use the BIC Single Blade Razor for Sensitive skin.The BIC Flex 5 blades took a little getting used to. With these blades I have to pull the blade slow and lightly across my face, listening to the pitch of the sound the blade makes. A low pitched sound is how it should be, if I pull the blade to fast across my face the pitch of the sound of the blade raises and I will likely get a nick.After each pass on my face, I push the blade in the opposite direction on my leg to clean the blade. When done shaving I rinse the blade clean and shake it dry. I always closely examine blades before use to make sure they haven’t been damaged, or are out of alignment. Using a damaged blade or poorly made blade makes for a really bad day.Around the side burns I still use the BIC Single Blade Razor for Sensitive skin.A single blade lasts me about 2-3 weeks.

My husband has used Atra razors for 40+ years and they can sometimes be hard to find so when I ordered the BIC Flex 5 refill and the handle on a hope and a prayer that he would finally give up that half-century-old Atra handle and use something new and easy to get, I was a little worried I was making a mistake. After all, you know how men are about their razors. I ordered and now fingers crossed and here we are at the crossroads - he throws the last of the Atra's away and is frantically searching for the little plastic container with his beloved Atra's and I have to break the news to him that he's out BUT "here honey, look at this new one" I say to him. He looks at me with alarm on his face but he has no choice, he needs to shave and this is it man - just try it - PLEASE! And he does. He shaves, rinses, drys his face, does the "how close did it get?" feel (I'm holding my breath and praying that it's a hit) AND IT IS! HE LOVES THE BIC FLEX 5! And just like that, the 40+ love affair with Atra is over! His new love is (well besides me of course) BIC Flex 5 Refillable Razor Cartridges! Yeah, baby - those are going on my subscribe and save list!

This has DEFINITELY been better than female razors. I am a women and these are just phenomenal !!! My hairs do not come out as fast as they usually do and it’s gentle on my skin! And no stubs!! I definitely recommend 🥹🥹

I use shaving soap and lather up my own foamI get about 3 good uses before I need a replacement.Good uses to me means:-no razor burn, skin is still fine if I wasnt able to do aftercare-no resistance, smooth glide against the grainuses 4-5 I will feel some razor burn if I dont take care of it after, but its not too bothersome. it takes me a bit more effort as well.IMO its good value for a 5 blade - I haven't ever nicked or cut myself with it for the years that ive been shaving my head.

The shaving quality of the Bic Flex Five razors is the best I've come across. They even have the blade on the other side for edging. It also pivots in a 45° angle.

I use this for my face and my body and it does a great job. It’s less irritating than other razors because I only have to go over a certain spot one time instead of having to keep running my razor over it.
