These traps are easy to use and have worked well. I set one up in our attic and have caught over a dozen mice within a month.The only issue I've experienced is that some mice get their tail caught in the trap door. One got its leg caught from the outside. It's not ideal, but better than the alternative.Overall, I'm happy with the product and would recommend it.

For the most part, these worked great and have totally solved my mouse problem.I did capture about 20 mice in about a 6 month span. They did not work out to be overly "humane" as I would check them only every couple days and found most of the mice were dead by the time I checked.I was rather easy however to remove and dispose of the dead mice. The mice, dead or alive, always left lots of little mice dropping in the trap which did take a little more work to clean out.I have also found that the little spring that holds the mechanism up that hold the door open does weaken and I have one or two traps now that is much harder to keep the door open and the trap set.Overall, worth my money and fixed my mouse problem. Was actually easier I think to just dispose of the dead mice verse having to relocate the surviving mice.Also, I found that I did not have to place any real bat in the traps as the mice just wondered in on their own. This also made it really convenient and easy to reset the traps.

Got an overly smart mouse who has been successfully avoiding all the glue traps for weeks, so I had to up my game. Got these to try and caught the little guy on the 2nd night, and all it took was a little peanut butter.This is definitely better in many ways. Last time I caught one on glue trap, and it chewed up a power wire within reach in desperate attempts to get free. It pooped everywhere and was kicking like crazy when I tried to pick up the trap. This keeps the mouse inside, no harm is done and it doesn't do any damage to surrounding things, and no mess to clean up.I am usually not the type that let a mouse go but I did decide to release it this time, somewhere far away from home though.

The only problem with this very effective trap is that while carrying the live critters for disposal outdoors on our one-acre property, we can see how cute they are. Oh, and you really have to check the traps frequently (at least once a day), or you find out that one has died from the smell, necessitating a full ammonia cleanse.

Dear Wanqueen (and other live-trap users)I have been using a similar mousetrap (almost identical) and have found that washing the trap after each catch increases my chances of catching the next victim.The odor emitted from a scared Mouse is horrible. Maybe it's their urine.After each catch the trap stinks! I believe that other mice avoid the trap. That is why after I wash it with soap and water and catch another mouse much more quickly. When I don't wash it, it takes longer to catch the next mouse.Their manual says to clean the trap of odors. Word. Nice of them to create such a well worded manual.However, when I received this 4-pack, one of the traps "fulcrum" was loose inside the trap tunnel and there was no Spring to trip the mechanism.I AM TRYING TO CONTACT WANQUEEN to have them send me a spring and I'll just put it in place.Whaddaya say Wanqueen?Wanna send me a tiny little spring so I can get this thing working.One caveat to this live trap! Some mice try to chew their way out through the air holes in the top and get their nose and incisorscaught in the hole and can't get loose. Their little nose swells up, gets very red and they hang there for a while until I can get them free. I use the live mice to feed my chickens and I'll sapre you the details, but that doesn't mean I don't feel sorry for the little scudders! I know it sounds cruel, but the chickens love them and my wife is happy to be rid of some rodents in the house!

I'm not really sure how to rate these accurately, as they do work well. You'll catch the mice, and they can't get out of it...but they will try! It's plastic, and for whatever reason, the first part they try to chew through is the little nub that sets and holds the trap door open. Once that's gone, the trap is no longer useful. As many have said, it turns this into a one-use trap. Even if just the ramp (which has the nub), it would help since they couldn't chew that away. As others have also said, they also try to chew away where the air holes are. If that were some sort of metal insert, problem solved. In short, these work well, and I love the size and design. They just won't last long. It's too bad. Edit: I took one old trap and cut pieces from it to rebuild/repair the rest of the traps. I took one last shot (which is working so far) and covered the areas with duct tape the mice seem to go for to chew their way out. Thick and very sticky, they don't want to chew that - so the nub on the ramp, and the air holes on top (there are plenty of other air holes on the release door they don't get to). So far, so good. I don't expect this to be a permanent fix, but maybe just get more than one use per trap.

Great for small mice. Bought these for the rodent problem we have at a public school. Was able to catch and release two mice with a little peanut butter.

Can cut off the tail :-(
Whilst it caught a mouse, wasn't humane..... the tail had been caught in the trap and was severed where the mouse had been trying to get free. Released the mouse and hope it survives. Buy a longer trap so the mouse can go all the way in before it closes up.
