Was looking at video reviews on Youtube of this vs several others. When the BlackFriday dropped to $275 I could not resist. Had seen a few demo videos and breezed over the manual the day before. I had it up in 10 minutes and the interface is so easy and intuitive I was running guitar and fretless bass rigs in literally 20 minutes later. The Sound: the sound is completely indifferentiable from the real thing. There are 70 amps and 70 speaker cabinets. There are hundreds of stomp boxes, eq, delays, mods. The sound is better than my PodX3 was. The people who reviewed this in the Youtube videos consistently chose it over the other Mods out there, and I agree completely having heard it myself in my own studio headphones. The price is 1/5 of that of the comparable unit that holds 70 amp models and 70 speaker cabinets. In fact, no other unit has 70- speaker cabinets. Even the Helix has only 45.Another feature is that the factory settings are all usable. For some bizarre reason every other emulator I've tested has all of these factory models that are completely absurd and useless; e.g., whacky effects and unusable noises. All of the factory presets can be immediately useable even on stage. It is built tough. It weighs a good 7-pounds, all metal, all heavy gauged metal, even the knobs are metal, there are no plastic parts whatsoever. they built this thing to take punishment, like being carried around to gigs as was intended. The display is Gorilla Glass, not plastic, but ballistic glass. The input output jacks are solid steel all around.Best part is on my Bolo card 0% is 23/month. How could I resist replacing my old dead unit for just 23/month.It has been a week now and there are a few things to know about this unit. You have to pay attention to the fine details of each layer of each setting in order to get the exact sound you want. For example, I have a fretless bass and several guitars, all of which require an entirely different tonal quality for a full bodied sound. On my former PodX3 [now extinct legacy product] it was a very laborious process of finding endless submenues, all of which existed but were difficult to find and keep track of. The GP200 is basically a 3-layered device, meaning, you will never have to dive deeper than 2-layers beyond the welcome screen to fine tune every amp, cabinet, pedal, mod, etc. There is a global set of settings which you need to adjust parametrically based on rather you are in headphones or a real speaker system. However, getting to that menu is one button. And you really need stereo to develop the speaker cabinet emulation properly. running mono doesn't quite cut it.Also you need to know that the system comes with the speaker emulation as OFF as a domestic global setting. you need to go into the cabinet menu and select ON. That is also true in the global settings.Sounds complicated, but again, everything is only 2-layers below the welcome screen. every fine tuning parameter has a hard button for immediate access, such as the amp, cabinets, pedals, and so on, are all hard switches rather than a layer of submenues.I find the ease of this compared to older technology like the difference between DOS and Windows, for those of you who no someone old enough to know what DOS was. If you fine tune everything, the sound is also superior to technology just about five years ago. Thus far I have not found anything I do not love about this unit. At first I thought I had a crackling problem in the audio, but that was just a global setting in the inputs and outputs high frequency cutoff range and limit. took me five minutes to find and correct.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Multi-Effects Unit
I was looking for a multi-effects unit that could handle both guitar and bass. In this budget level, there are very few options in this category. After seeing several reviews, I decided to try this one out. The tones are very good, and the device is pretty easy to use. It's very flexible, and a lot of the settings (like mapping the various pedals) are available, which took some time to learn. The number of amps, cabinets, and effects are wonderful. I was able to change and adjust the different effects to my liking. One thing I have always found with these types of units is that the preloaded presets need to be tweaked, or just start from scratch and make your own (which is how I prefer to do things). As much as I like this unit, there are some things to consider. The first is that it is not as intuitive to change and adjust effects. It's much easier to do this via the desktop application. If you get this, I suggest making sure you install the app on a computer. It'll make things much easier to set up. One of my other pedals has mobile apps for phone or tablet, which really helps when playing away from a computer. The GP-200 does not have that option - I would love to see that become available. The other thing that takes some getting used to is the footswitch configuration. There is a default mode, a stomp mode, and a user mode. You can set up each mode to be able to click a footswitch, hold the switch, or click two at a time, for different actions. The list of actions is somewhat limited, and you can't change footswitch modes with a switch click. I like the default mode for switching banks and presets, but it only gives you one stomp buttons to turn on/off specific effects. In stomp mode, you have four control switches, which can be set up to toggle more than one effect at the same time (I have one effect when one button will turn on/off the noise gate and distortion at the same time). It would be nice to be able to set up a switch to toggle between default and stomp modes, but that it's an available option. Instead, I set up the user mode to make it easier to do both. The other thing I'd love to see is which effects each control button adjusts. You can set the four stomp controls different effects per preset. The screen doesn't show you which switch controls which effect (one of my other units does this and it is very helpful), so you have to remember which switch does what for each preset. It helps to set one for reverb on all presets, and so on. It's not a deal breaker, but it does take a but to get used to. Also, if you switch between presets, the effects will reset to what was saved in the unit. Let's say you have effect on 01B with reverb on, you turn it off, and then go to 01C, and then switch back to 01B - reverb will be turned back on. It's just something to be aware of.Another thing to be aware of is that there is only one master volume control Even though it is really nice to have both XRL and TRS outputs, they are both controlled at the same time. You can't adjust the volume for one without changing the volume for the other. You can enable/disable Cabinets for left or right channels, but you can't turn on/off amps per channel. Even the headphone volume is linked to the master volume controlWhat really sold me on this unit was having guitar and bass effects built in. I switch between instruments all the time and having one device to learn is really nice. The effects for both are very good and meet all my needs (so far). I loaded some additional bass IRs to expand the bass functionality, which was also easy to do.Even with the small list of quirks and wish list items, this device is a keeper. I haven't tried using it as an interface yet, or the looper, but it is nice to know those options are available. Once you have all your presets configured (better to do on the computer), it is easy to use while playing, and that's the important part.

Excellent!
This guitar processor offers excellent value for the money. Out of the box, it sounds great, covering a broad range of tones that will satisfy most players. It’s an ideal choice for beginners and mid-level players on a budget. For clean tones and edge-of-breakup sounds, this unit excels. The tones are clear, dynamic, and very usable for a variety of styles. However, when it comes to high-gain tones, it does fall short, especially at high volumes. I had to return mine because I needed a backup for my Fractal AX8, and while the unit performs well in many areas, the high-gain sounds were fizzy, and despite my best efforts, I couldn't dial it out, even using the global EQ. But to be fair, this is to be expected considering the price difference between this and more expensive units like the Fractal gear. The effects are good, though not quite studio-quality. Still, they are certainly usable and will satisfy most players who aren’t looking for perfection. Another highlight is the free editor software, which is intuitive, easy to use, and allows for extensive customization of your sounds. The build quality is also solid, with all of the controls feeling sturdy and user-friendly.In conclusion, while this unit may not be suitable for those seeking top-tier high-gain tones, it’s a great choice for aspiring guitar players who need a versatile processor on a budget. I would highly recommend it to anyone starting out or looking for a budget-friendly option without compromising on core features.

Amazing product
I'm a home user and my use case is just plugging in the guitar and playing using my headphones every now and then. This pedal filled the missing piece and made everything sound cooler than ever. Hence I bought an amp and started playing out loud. And before I know, I had it connected to my computer recording audio :)
