I bought these to know that the correct size /class of bobbins are stored in the machines' storage bins for easy access. The case opens easily and closes securely. The lid fits well and the bobbins don't get dusty or lost. I had used other types of bobbins at times because the 3 that came with each machine were full or mixed in with other bobbins and I couldn't identify the Class 15-J from similar bobbins, but would always have machine issues. Using the specified size/class of bobbins is integral to proper machine functionalityand better results. As I get one out of the case to use, I mark it as "15-J" with a fine-point Sharpee to easily get the right size bobbin each time one is needed.I would definitely buy this case of bobbins again, if needed.

Of course these 15j bobbins work perfectly as they are the Singer brand. I have a Singer patchwork sewing machine so these are the best. The value was even better, I usually by notions at Joann's but they are no longer in business. I checked 2 other crafty type stores and was disappointed that they didn't have them. Bolo came to the rescue! They came in three storage boxes, another plus. I know that the Singer brand is durable as I've been using them for years.

Even though the description is 15J Bobbins, they do not fit the thread winder pin on Brother machines, even though my manual says to use 15J bobbins. I was not aware that different manufacturers could make / use different sized 15J bobbins, but that appears to be the case. The center hole in the SInger bobbins is smaller than the Brother 15J bobbins, thus I can't wind thread on them. You may be able to use the bobbins if you use a Side Winder to wind the thread. They MAY fit in the bobbin case of a Brother but I didn't try them since I couldn't load them.The description says "for Singer machines" so I can't deduct stars for this review, but wanted other Brother users to know they won't (may not) fit your machine's thread winding pin.

Item as described. Make sure you have the right sized bobbin for your machine. I have two singers. One takes a class 66 and the other a class 15J. These 15J bobbins are great. I also like the little case they come in - handy when you wind a couple and don't finish one.

Compared to the 15j Singer bobbins I received from Singer, these seem like knockoffs. The plastic is slightly cloudy, and there are burrs all over these. Poor job with the moulds I imagine. As any sewer should know, if you have burrs on your bobbin your thread will catch, halting your ability to sew. If these even make it past the winding part of the process, I think it's likely using these would damage a machine.It should be noted that the tape holding these boxes closed had debris on the sticky side. It's possible someone swapped the original bobbins with knockoffs.These aren't even worth using if you got them for free. The risk of ruining your sewing machine is far too great.
