This is a great little kit for making a mobile! The supplies worked well for me and kept me from having to source things separately. As others have said, though, the 'instructions' are lacking. i have a good bit of crafting experience and it still took me a while to figure out how to use it. Turned out great once I got it done, so I do recommend the product, just be prepared to figure it out for yourself.

The media could not be loaded. I agree that the directions are vague but once you get all the pieces out, it’s fairly self explanatory. Read previous reviews about how the ring broke so I was extra careful and have had zero issues thus far.It took me approximately an hour to measure out where I wanted all my sewn pieces to go and assemble the whole thing.I added a lace border around the large ring and couldn’t be happier with how this turned out for my daughters nursery!

The media could not be loaded. The kit is pretty good overall. The pieces are adequate to get the job done. The included string is cheap looking. I recommend getting an attractive replacement string. It makes all the difference. We also had to buy a large needle with a big eye. The 'cheerio' for a ring broke but I subbed out a metal ring for it. It took us about ten hours of work to make this. See pictures.

What is worth the purchase: The hoop, beads, threading tool (the latter is the best part of the whole thing).What you will need to replace:-- The string. It's just embroidery floss. It separates and looks awful. I got some "waxed string" at Hobby Lobby in the leatherwork section, which worked beautifully.-- The wooden ring to hang it with. It is pretty much the same size as a Cheerio. You cannot put several strands of string through it and still have room to hang it on anything even as tiny as a cuphook. On it's own, without compromise of string, you cannot get it on a mobile hanger and/or music box. I ended up having to macrame a loop to hang it with.One other caution: This was shipped in a zip-top bag. Not a padded bag. No box. Just the bag it's kitted in. Absolute miracle that this didn't rip and lose pieces or cause the hoop to break.

The media could not be loaded. Used this kit along with some handmade felt flowers I purchased on Etsy to make a mobile for my cousins baby girl. It was easy to use and I think it came out beautifully.

These parts are super cheap. I already put too much work into making the mobile to return, otherwise I would. The little wood ring broke when I tied a knot around it and the embroidery floss comes apart too easily. The beads are cheap and smell bad. You can buy each of the pieces individually cheaper at a craft store. The only advantage is that the ring has little holes drilled in it, but even that’s not necessary to make a mobile. I do not recommend.

The only thing I didn’t like was it didn’t come with decent instructions. So be prepared to google and get more creative.
