They're very happy after a month or two. The bars are far enough apart that water can pass but strong enough for all of my heavy terracotta pots. I like watering my thirstiest plants on top, and then I position the others beneath those drainage holes. It's easy to see where water will go. Speaking of, it's been through quite a few rainstorms and even with wind, it's staying sturdy and not rusting. Doing well in the Texas sun so far! If it lasts a year, I'll probably spray some outdoor protection/sealant just to be safe, but so far I love it!

I needed something vertical to support a number of flowerpots on my back porch. Since the porch railing is black wrought iron, something made of metal and black would work best. Also, I wanted something that was not taller than the railing. This plant stand looked like it would fit my needs, and it did. It was easy to assemble. My only concern is oxidation: being exposed to rain might result in rust spots here and there.

Somewhat to my surprise, I’ve become “parent” to quite a large number and variety of plants, and I’m on the verge of losing control as they seem to propagate like the proverbial rabbits. I bought this rack to provide a home for some of them. It serves that purpose pretty well, with a few reservations.For my particular situation, it’s a good size. Its 30” height allows taller plants behind it to get come light, and it’s width (about 26”) is enough for 8 or 9 medium-sized plants (6-8” pots) or 10-12 smaller ones(4-5”). It’s very light weight so can be shifted around a bit to create a temporary path or to make watering easier if you have a slew of plants around it. There’s a good amount of space between shelves (11+”) suitable for taller plants. The top shelf is fairly narrow (about 7”) and the other two are about 11”deep, so it allows for a variety of plants.The fact that it’s so light-weight is the primary drawback. The shelves seem to me to be pretty flimsy—I’d be leery of putting heavy pots on them because I think they’d bow. Also, the bottom shelf is only 2” from the ground, so in certain circumstances plants at that level might receive less light than they need. Although I prefer terra cotta or ceramic pots, I’m using plastic ones on this unit to lessen the load.Overall, I prefer this stand to a tall wooden one that I bought earlier because its wider shelves provide room for larger plants. I think it will always be useful especially for my baby plants until get big enough to find a new parent among my friends and acquaintances.

I bought for African violets, it should fit plenty of 4 inch pots I bought for a nice plant display.I can attach grow lights to the wire shelves, and I have.Very easy to assemble. It could sit on the floor but I’ve set it on top of a table. Not too big and not too small for my needs.

This is as advertised. Was able to assemble in about 20 minutes by myself. (Probably would have taken less, but the cat wanted to... "help".) Everything needed was included, except make sure you have a decent sized philips head screwdriver.Stand is lightweight, which was good for getting it upstairs and maneuvered out to my balcony, but I'm not sure how well it'll do in high winds. It has been through one fairly strong storm and didn't move, so I'm cautiously optimistic.

We ordered the 3-tier indoor/outdoor plant stand. We ordered at end of season and did not open package until the following spring. When we tried to put it together, there were two major pieces missing. It should come with three shelves and two sides (each in two parts). The top part of each side was missing. Therefore, we were only able to put two of the tiers together and not the third.

I bought this so I have a place for my indoor succulents to park outside in the warm season till it gets cold again. All of them fit snugly. Since it’s lightweight, I have to cable tie it to my porch railing in case of windy days. It’s made of tube aluminum/metal, so I’m hoping it’ll last me at least 3 seasons to get my money’s worth. I’ll let you know how it goes by fall this year

Great product! This is actually the second one I’ve purchased and I’m going to get another. Easily assembled. Looks great on the patio with plants but winters with them inside in our dining area nicely. I’m using the other one with baskets of craft items and yarns. Great looking, lightweight, perfect size!

Just 12 screws had to be inserted and tightened - a power drill helped but was not essential. The assembled stand seems solid, looks good and is fit for its purpose.
