With the BaK-4 glass, and it's waterproofing, these were meant for me. Extreme outdoorsman, in grizzly and moose country. These are better than my Nikon's. Crystal clear viewing, perfect magnification, (10x42). Diopter works perfect. Comes with a carrying case, neck strap, and micro-fiber cloth. Unlike the pics online, it's a dark blue. Luv it. Not compact, and not full-size, a mid-ground between the sizes.

I bought these binoculars during black Friday sales and even if I had not gotten them for an excellent price, they would have been worth it. I put out peanuts and bird food in an area off of our driveway and I keep these in the garage to watch the squirrels and rabbits, and all kinds of birds. The zoom is amazing as I can see the feathers on a baby chickadee and the tiny hairs on a wild rabbit from ~25 feet away. This was one of my best and favorite Bolo purchases...

I love these binoculars so much that I’m going to purchase another pair. I was originally searching for Leica binoculars like the ones we already have that are 25 years old, but they were really expensive and I wanted them for my camp where I forget and leave them outside. These are as clear as the Leica but better because they don’t fog up. It’s really humid where I live so the Leica have to warm up before I can see through them. With the Bushnell, I can see things immediately which is great when I see the occasional dolphin. Overall, I am totally impressed with these and have already recommended them to a friend.

Not as good as the older version

I initially ordered the old version but then noticed this new version at a discounted price, so I ordered these instead, and planned on returning the older ones. When these arrived, I was able to compare the two and decided to keep the superior older version after all, as it's just a better product.The main issue is the eyecups. On the older version, when you twist out the eyecups, they lock into place. However, on these version, there is no locking system, so the eyecups are pushed back in again with the slightest bit of pressure (i.e., as soon as you put them up to your face!!!). These are not just for comfort or aesthetics, they affect the field of view, so it's not only annoying to have to constantly pull them out again, but means you can't see as well as you should be able to when they move slightly.One 'improvement' that Bushnell claim is the aluminium body leading to a lighter overall weight. However, I weighed them on my kitchen scales and they weighed almost exactly the same. The new one is only 1 gram lighter!! The new version is well over an inch longer, so basically they're bigger in size and weigh the same, which again, is worse for the user, not better.The other major selling factor for the new version is that they have an IPX7 waterproofing rating, which is great, but the older version also claims to be 'fully waterproof', so I suspect the waterproofing hasn't really improved, they've just got round to getting it tested and certified.In short, the older version is more compact in size, it has better grip all over, and just looks nicer than the new version. Stick to that one.
