omg i loooove this product. my hair is not super curly but it carries a nice wave/loose curl i was using not your mothers curl cream before, which i still like but this is better! no crust and no grease after using this product. holds well!

I love this stuff.If you’ve got wavy or curly hair that need help holding their shape and/or fall apart when trying to dry with a diffuser..This is the fix. I used Recoil for years and it kept my waves from becoming frizz but no real shape.My hair has gotten curlier but it still won’t hold its shape. The hair dresser said the fix is switching from a cream to a gel. She was correct.It doesn’t leave any scent, crunchy feel or weigh down the curls. Hairspray to finish. It good but it’s not magic. :)

I've tried so many products for my curly hair. This has been the easiest and I get great results. I like to wash my hair in the evenings after my workoutthat twice a week. I don't wash my hair everyday. But this product keeps my hair from being frizzy. I have more defined curls. The first application is when I wash it. I leave it in my wet hair after styling it the way I want it to look and go to bed with this product, It holds well. The next morning I just wet a little and I have more curls in places there was no curls. I run my fingers through my hair after its dried, it leaves fluffy curls and stays until I wash it again. If I get my hair wet from sweat, between washing I run my wet hands through my scalp. After it's dried I fluff again and my hair stays in place with big soft curls and no frizz.

I've been using DevaCurl products for about a decade and my trio are the No-Poo and One Condition Decadence line, plus the Ultra Defining gel. Every time I take a break (I find that periodically switching things up keeps things working—maybe just imagining things, but...) when I return to my loves (this trio), the results are unmistakable: hair immediately more moisturized, fuller, bouncier and more defined curls and hair just looking and feeling healthier in a NOT at ALL subtle way. I was devastated when everyone started saying that they were experiencing hair loss with the DevaCurl line (and others) and had a real crisis over what product to switch to because I've spent entirely too much on trying too many brands that did NOT A THING for my hair, over the years. When I tried DevaCurl, in 2013, my search was over. I immediately began getting compliments from others with curly hair, asking me what I use, because it's hard and everyone with curly hair knows this problem. When the news about hair loss potentially stemming from this product (and others for curly hair) came out, I was devastated, but, not having had that as my experienced, I continued using it. They were the only products I had gotten amazing results from, consistently, and they nourished and healed my hair from the grievous mess it always was before I found DevaCurl. Now that they've changed their formulation the results are entirely different. Now this gel feels so watered down and I can scrunch until my fingers are blue with no curl effect happening, whatsoever. My curls are in no way what they used to be. The hold is completely non-existent anymore. This was my first bottle of the new formula and I've got to use an additional gel after scrunching (with the DevaCurl hair cloth) and plopping it in a microfiber turban until just damp. The same altered and thoroughly diminished effects are true of the other two products in my trio. So watery and thin, now, and that powerful, juicy, luscious moisturizing effect is totally gone. I'm in mourning because I've not found another product that beats DevaCurl's original formulation results.

Amazing product!Product shipped in a plastic bag and was slightly leaking- maybe a half pump worth of product seeped into plastic bag.This product tightens your curls - defines them- and keeps them soft and bouncy all day long! Not sticky, and the smell is mild and clean.Scrunch in wet hair and dry with diffuser. Perfect curls every time!

Not the same product as it was years ago. I used to love how this made my curls looked. The new formula leaves your hair VERY frizzy and dry. Don’t waste your money. So disappointing! My hair felt like straw. :(

Best Curl Gel I’ve Used for Years!I’ve been using this gel for years and it’s still my go-to. I love how it holds my curls in place without leaving them stiff or crunchy. My curls stay defined, bouncy, and frizz-free all day, and it works perfectly on my medium curl hair type.It’s lightweight, sulfate-free, and doesn’t dry out my hair like other gels I’ve tried. A little goes a long way, which makes the bottle last a long time. I always come back to this one because it truly delivers consistent results.✅ Pros: Strong hold without crunch, long-lasting definition, frizz control❌ Cons: Wish the bottle were a bit bigger for the priceHighly recommend for anyone with curls or waves who wants definition and softness at the same time!
Not strong enough for fine hair
I have very thin, fine hair and this gel wasn’t strong enough for me.

This is a great product to give your curls more bounce and help them stay in place. I like that you cant take as much as you want to give you what ever look you are going after. I like a more medium hold, it took a couple of tries and I figured out how much I needed. If you used a lot you could probably get quite a stiff hold it that is what you were after.
Good for curly looking
This curly cream is my daughter’s favourite one she uses it all the time
Not heavy!
I bought this instead of the cream as the cream is more than double in price. This seems to do the exact same job. Reduces frizz and allows the curls. It’s not heavy or sticky.
