If used on a regular basis you’ll want to replace it every year or two to ensure you have the most accurate colors and no faded squares.Do not touch the squares with your bare fingers, the oil can damage it.

This one is a replacement for the one I'd been using for several years. They do fade with time and should be replaced every two or three years. The manufacturer says annually but I can't see any difference after one year. They work great and are easy to use, just read and follow the directions.

I had held off buying this thinking I could just use the camera profiles in Lightroom. But those profiles are terrible. So I got this and made profiles using both the X-Rite software and Adobe Profile Editor. They were also not very good. Then, after reading about it in a forum, I bought Lumariver Profile Designer for $30. I load the photos of the passport into Lumariver and I'm able to tweak the profile to my liking, and when I say to my liking, I mean to produce the most accurate colors. I have made profiles already for all kinds of lighting scenarios, and they are ready to go when I edit in Lightroom. Also, the white balance patches are accurate and the case closes up tight to protect the patches from the light. Fits in your pocket.

A Color Checker has been my standby for decades. It’s very useful for ensuring accurate color in your photography. It was always great in the studio when its traditional large size was not a problem and often a benefit.This pocket size version is a lot easier to carry and use when shooting in the field. As a bonus, larger white and middle gray panels are available if you need to fill the camera’s field of view. White is more often used in video.

When I got the job of shooting an artist's watercolors for him, he emphasized that I needed to get the colors right. That's when I turned to this. It is very accurate and basically easy to use. The best endorsement is that he said the photos were "spot on." I had a bit of a problem in that I use Bridge and Camera Raw for front-end editing and it is a bit clunky to get a .dng file to use for creating the profile. Once I learned the steps, it is now a comfortable routine. I think Lightroom is smoother.

I got tired of having to manually color correcting all my photos. All my lights have stable color temp, but it's still off a little. I would suggest setting your camera to not automatically set the color temp, but to instead each shoot that you use the same lighting setup, take your first shots with the card then in light room you can adjust all the photos at once using the color chart. It's a real time savor.

Review of Calibrite ColorChecker Passport Photo 2.Color check cards are important for photography work. This device is well made. Packaging is good.Only thing I would suggest is adding a 1/8in thread in the hinge to screw it onto something for mounting.

You have to download the software. It was a problem for a Mac because you need to use the unarchiver to open the zip file. It does not come with a dmg file. The company has sold it to Calibrate. I tried to contact them and they were unresponsive. I know the product is good but the communication and software problem for the mac were poor.

Mais je ne crois pas que mon imprimante ; mais je n'ai pas pu trouver le profil Icc du papier utilisé (Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy). Donc résultat nul sans que la charte puisse être incriminée.

Zawiasy ciężko chodzą. Przy otwieraniu i składaniu muszę używać dużo siły.... przez to mam wrażenie, że obudowa zaraz pęknie i się zepsuje.
Excelente herramienta para quienes se toman en serio el color
Perdí mi antigua tarjeta hace cinco años y la echaba mucho de menos, pero su precio es elevado, así que tuve que esperar mucho tiempo antes de poder comprarme otra. La adición de la tarjeta de grises del 18% (en la nueva versión 2) es de agradecer: antes llevaba una tarjeta de grises mucho más grande además del viejo ColorChecker Passport que tenía antes; ahora ya no tengo que hacerlo.Si para ti es importante obtener una reproducción del color lo más natural y precisa posible en tus fotos, pero también quieres una solución que puedas llevar en el bolsillo, ésta es la solución.Cuando lo utilices con el software Calibrite (renombrado X-Rite), te sorprenderá la diferencia que marca.Tuve la suerte de conseguirlo a un precio de “Oferta Flash”.

I secured a job photographing some art work, this was a great purchase to ensure colour accuracy. Very portable great quality and functions very well. Just follow the simple instructions. I was able to reproduce prints of the art work (with the right printer) much more accurately than the professional print places they tried.
