I’ve tried other brands. They may be cheaper, but they’re not functional so it’s still a waste. New balance knows how to do it right. I'm almost 50 and I started getting to the point where I couldn't walk - of course, the doctor says "oh, it's just plantar fasciitis.." I say "of course" because for someone without the pain themselves, it seems like it's just a Dr. Scholl's insert that is a cure-all for it. I used one of those first, and while they alleviate the pain a bit, they don't actually *fix* the problem. I asked the Doctor to send me to a Podiatrist. The guy who I saw is quite esteemed, he's done groundbreaking work in the area of feet. But he told me "the only cure, outside of trying near-useless velcro attachment devices and leg braces, is to wear New Balance 990s all the time."Ok so silly me, I thought these were $50 shoes - but they aren't. That saying "you get what you pay for" applies here incredibly, at least for me. $200 bucks later on Bolo, and I'm expecting a miracle or I'm grumpy. The odd ending to this story is this: I'm not grumpy and I absolutely fell in love with the way these fit. I've worn many, many shoes in my lifetime (including Asics and lower-level New Balance shoes, along with Nikes etc) and there simply isn't any comparison.Like, ZERO.I have wide feet (Fred Flintsone feet) but after a couple of days of breaking them in, my plantar fasciitis not only started to fell MUCH better but in a month's time it went away. WOW. I had it for almost a year and I couldn't figure out how to fix it (nor could my primary care doctor).If you are struggling with the idea of whether these shoes are worth it here's the answer: THEY ARE. Yes, you may have to make sure you have the right size but once you do, I really doubt you'll ever buy another shoe type again.Last but not least, I bought mine 6 months ago and I wear them everywhere - even in the house - because they help my feet. So I've put many, many miles on them. They are nowhere near showing signs of wear - occasionally they'll get dusty if I'm out walking, but no wear.Made in the USA. I didn't even know that until after I bought them, but now it makes sense. Things of quality are built here (because) the companies who are headquartered here in the US don't have the mismatch of communication you'd naturally have making something overseas. I say this because most New Balance shoes are made in China, these are the only ones that I'm aware of made in the US. But the quality difference between the two - from the "other" New Balance shoes in their line to the 990s is black-and-white. If I were CEO of that company, I'd onshore their production of all lines.. they'd be the only manufacturer with quality shoes for everyone.In the meantime, I'm continuing to enjoy life with these without Plantar Fasciitis. I'm definitely a happy camper!

I quite honestly have square feet and was looking for a shoe that would compensate an extra-extra-extra wide foot and boy do these shoes do it. They run a bit big when you get to such wide shoes but it also has that extra space for comfort of your foot. All the rumors about these shoes about the value and quality and durability of the shoe are all true. I stand on tile for my work all day and my feet feel comfortable enough and supported throughout the entire day. I won’t be worrying about other brands and styles of shoes now that I found a pair that can take care of my wide Fred Flintstone feet!

Great shoe, but I’ll make this quick and simple as far as the sizing (at least for me) The shoe personally is about .5-1 size too big. I am a true 8.5 US Men’s, but like wearing the occasional size US Men’s 9 for extra room and comfort on some shoes. Not for all! Like this one. The Men’s US size 9 in this shoe fits like a 10-10.5, meaning that after buying these 3 times and testing the sizing, I ended up with a size 8 Men’s wide since I am an 8.5 True to size. In conclusion, go a half size down, maybe even full size down if you like it even more snug. They have wide options here on Bolo, so take advantage, nice to have a little extra toe box room for walking and such. You’re welcome, hope this helps. Cheers

I have been running and walking in these shoes for years and always try to get a new pair every year. They are great and fit me perfectly. I really like the spare set of shoe laces that came with them and I replaced the white laces with the gray ones that came with it. Especially nice was the no interest payment plan offered by Bolo, this helped a great deal.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This shoe is comfortable but it suffers from at least two defects, Will return them to Bolo.1. The shoelace holes were mostly blocked, so it was not easy to thread the laces in the holes.2. Very annoying: the tongue drifts off center when walking, and that becomes uncomfortable on the top of the foot. One has to frequently grab the tongue and realign.New Balance should have added loops to the top of the tongue so that the laces would secure the tongue position in midline. The New Balance 860, a lower model, has tongue stabilization via laces, so why did New Balance keep this feature?

Great sneakers. Just be aware that they run small and narrow. I ordered my usual 8.5 and had to exchange them for a 9. Now they fit well.

Como siempre una chulada estos tenis, pero les recomiendo leer toda publicación completa de los tenis, cuando estuve buscando información del envío y la compra, no recuerdo exactamente dónde, pero vi que la talla decía “wide”, eso quiere decir que son más anchos de lo “normal”, el título del producto no menciona eso, ni en la descripción, así que, creí que eran talla D (regular) a lo ancho, en mi caso estuvo mejor porque tengo pies anchos, entonces, el espacio extra se agradece, pero si tienes pies normales, vas a sentir que te sobra algo de espacio a lo ancho y no se diga si tienes pies delgados, te van a nadar
