I store animal feed in a shed, but never had too much trouble with mice getting to it until this year. I found most of their holes they were getting in from and patched them up but the little suckers keep getting in somewhere I haven’t found yet. My cats must have made some kind of deal with them because the mice would stroll right past them with a wave hello and the cats just sat there. I picked up 8 of these traps, and in 24 hours or so I’ve caught 17 of the critters. There’s a park not far from me where a lot of people bbq and picnic in the nice weather so I let them go down there figure they’ll have plenty to eat what people leave behind in the trash bins.Point is I guess, these traps definitely work well when set properly. A little dab of peanut butter on the trigger plate is all you need, they scurry right in and the door snaps shut behind them. Then it’s a one way ride to the park.Just know the build quality doesn’t seem to be the best, pretty much just cheap plastic, so try not to drop them on a hard surface as they might crack easily. But, as mouse traps go, they’re easy to use, effective, safe around pets and kids, easy to clean, and easy to check if you caught one since they’re transparent plastic. And of course they give the little nuisances a second chance.

You can't beat these traps for ease of baiting and setting, and near flawless use. I utilize these traps to catch house mice, small field mice, and chipmunks for frozen and live reptile feeding, pest control, and as a humane way to catch and use rodents for overnight coyote trapping to release the bait wholly safe and unharmed the following day. I can and have caught flying squirrels in these traps using pecan, walnuts, peanuts, dog and cat kibble, other grains as well as peanut and walnut butter and more...let your imagination be your guide.I currently have a couple of Pygmy rattlesnakes that feed almost exclusively on live mice. They will occasionally take frozen rodents, but it's seldom and it's difficult. I have also used these traps to get starter stock for breeding my own reptile foods.I've thus far bought two packets of four traps and a few sets of two (the larger lots of 4 traps of which then come with a free interior soaping and cleaning brush), and there is an enclosed and vented dual sided slide-in-from-the-outside bait container that you can easily fill with grain, peanut butter, cheese, vegetables, etc., and the vents allow the scent of the bait to be wafted both into and out of the vented bait holder both through, out of, and from the trap.These traps come in clear, transparent blue, transparent green, transparent gray, and more, and are very easy to check by simply looking at (and through the shell of) the traps from the side or end to see if you have caught anything. They are extremely easy to empty by releasing the mice you catch into a secondary container for euthanasia, breeding, or release back to the wild if you are simply trying to remove rodents from one area by catch and release into another. Quick, easy, harmless and safe for you and the trapped rodents.When I say these are easy to set, I can't overstate that. Simply push the trap door downward toward the inner floor of the trap until you hear and feel a "click", and remove your finger. Done. Simple.It's extremely simple and convenient to have the secondary slide in/out dual side vented bait container. It holds dry or moist bait while allowing the scent thereof to waft through and out of the trap to "pull" rodents into the traps, and they are extremely easy to wash and clean thereafter (both the secondary bait containers and the trap, inside and out). It's likewise also extremely convenient to be able to keep loose and dry feed like dry dog or cat food, etc., in the secondary container to maintain the debris-free condition of the inside of the trap - no loose nuts, kibble, etc., within the trap interior means no loose bait debris to block the downward trap pan trigger movement when the target animal depresses the pan. It also maintains much less bug infested condition of your bait.Whether you choose to euthanize, remove and release to the wild, or have the rodents you catch for reptile food, breeding and other secondary use, these traps are flawlessly humane, and in all honesty, I don't know if you could even make them inhumane if you tried. I've even left feed and water inside the trap and utilized captured mice, small rats, and chipmunks as live bait for overnight coyote trapping, then freed the trapped rodents the next morning wholly unharmed.

My wife had stored a granola bar in her open lunch bag under our kitchen cabinet overnight to take to work last Monday. When she fetched it to pack lunch, it had already been partially eaten. I ordered this product the same day, received it on Friday, laid it out under the counter Friday evening with the same granola bar bits and greeted our little friend late Saturday afternoon! I had set out my other three traps in other areas with no visitors so far.Pretty easy to figure out. It works very well. It is easy to set the trap with no chance of getting a finger snapped. Be sure to attach the bait compartment with the holes facing the interior of the trap. Release your guest by opening the bait compartment and tipping your guest out. I'm surprised and pleased by the quick results. The mouse left a lot of turds in the cage. It took a high pressure garden hose to clean them all out. The provided cleaning foam brush does not reach the nooks and crannies that the turds end up in.

Okay, so I can't kill a mouse and found myself living with them. I bought these and they work really good. I caught 3 the first night. LOL, I took them to the beach (because that is the perfect place to live) and let them go. These traps don't get hurt them and they are easy to open and let them go. They usually were caught at night so in the morning, I would put some food and water in the trap with them so that when I dropped them off on their adventures, they would be ready and not hungry or thirsty. Literally, I adore these little funny things, but DO NOT WANT them in my home. They are cute but dirty and these traps suited my need for kindness and love in this life.

Save your money. These are cheap made and the only thing you’re going to catch is an attitude with these. Trap is worthless and design though seems good, it’s not. The food trap is easily slid off and the animal eats it. Super small as well. Lucky to catch a baby mouse let alone a chipmunk or rat.

I caught a mouse within hours of setting a trap and I was very pleased with the trap. Since then, the spring door one of the traps failed and won't keep the door open so it is useless. Not very durable. Another trap cut off the mouses tail. I like the idea of live traps but I think maybe these need more work. I was hoping for something better for the price.

La vdd compre el paquete mas por la relacion cantidad precio, pero hoy llego y hot capturo al raton que llevaba dias oyendo por el patio.No esperaba que funcionara ya que se me olvido comprar la crema de cacahuate y puse un trocito de queso crema en cada trampa, pero funciono, mas que nada tenia miedo aue mi perro lo atrapara ya que esta en proceso de tener su vacunasLo recomiendo, dejare las trampas porque en mi experiencia casi siempre donde hay uno hay al menos otro mas
