I really like this little electric fireplace! It puts out a great amount of heat and is can be thermostat controlled (not just the typical high and low settings), the vent is at the top and not near the bottom where I'm concerned about overheating for a number of reasons, it's very beautiful to look at, the legs are a durable plastic which will prevent any electrical currents from hitting your floor, and the flame is nearly silent and very pleasing. You don't hear the rotating sound you hear in so many electric fireplaces. It is a very faint sound and not a grind. Money well spent! Even in extreme temperatures. Just calculate the sq footage you're heating and purchase accordingly. Hope this helps with your decision!

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to get an electric fireplace that gave my great room not just a boost in warmth, but to add a beautiful ambience. This fireplace did both. The heater makes the room suoer cozy warm. The artificial flames look amazing. I sat in the room with the rain falling outside and this fireplace made the room feel tranquil and peaceful. It was super easy to assemble. Just screw in the perfectly aligned legs, put batteries in the remote and plug it in. I place mine on top of some bricks to enhance its place in the room. I do recommend this 24” fireplace.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Review on the Unit and Fireplace Flames Without the Heater Operating
I bought this unit only for the fireplace and not the heater and so that is what I am reviewing. But for reviewing purposes the heater works fine. I did test it. First, the elephant in the room. For some reason The following information is not in the advertisement specifications or even in the manual. Question: can you use the flames/fire and also turn the heat off at the same time? The answer is yes. How to do that? On the remote control or the controls inside of the units door, simply press the temperature gauge until the digital readout reads 00. That means the heater and fan are off. So you do not need to run the heater in order to have any of the flame/Fireplace effects. The directions and previous reviews have not made this clear and tended to focus on the beauty of the flames and the power of the heater. For some reason it is simply not in the written directions either. That is why I am stating how to do this in this review. But this is a high quality unit so please do not get the impression that somehow this unit is cheaply made. Nothing could be further from the truth. It's beautiful and works perfectly.The Flames Review:A stunningly beautiful unit. Larger than I thought. 24 inches wide by 24 inches tall. The glass door is flat so that there is no obstacle to seeing the flames and the fake logs inside of it which really look real. It also has a window made of glass on each side so you can see the flames from multiple angles. I did not know this when I bought it and it was a pleasant surprise. The flames are just really sophisticated lights and produce no heat, But it looks completely real. The fake logs inside of the unit look very real and also look like they are on fire and burning embers at the same time. Essentially it looks like you have a real fireplace. It does not look like a fake fire. It looks completely real. I can see why the previous reviews are so good about the fireplace itself. It's really nice. I had a similar unit about 10 years ago, Somewhat smaller and more archaic and it looked okay, but clearly the technology has come a long way since then. Your friends or family will never be able to tell that is not a real fire. It's that beautiful and that realistic. This is what I was looking for. I decided not to use the heating source because I do not need it in my apartment and was more interested in the psychological and emotional effects of having a fireplace or least one that looks like a fireplace. This unit is a little more expensive than some but it is also larger than the less expensive ones. The unit has a standard 2 prong plug instead of a 3 pronged grounded plug. That does not matter to me. That just makes it easier to plug into a extension cord or a surge protector. If you are going to use the heat which does work fine, make sure that you use a 14 gauge appliance extension cord and an appliance surge protector as it runs at 1500 W if you use the heat. If you do not use the heat like I am not using the heat, then you could probably plug it into any kind of extension cord as the fireplace itself does not produce a lot of wattage just using the sophisticated lights. It has 5 flames settings for height meaning that you can have a small fire or a larger fire. Just press the buttons on the remote control or in the unit in order to make that happen. The buttons are inside of the unit which is where they belong. This unit also has a number of flames speeds which I think are meant to go with the size of the flames. Try all of them out and see which ones work best for you on any given day. The batteries are included in the package but you do have to install them in the remote. 2 AAA Batteries. Everything is digital on this unit and so nothing can go wrong, and the digital readout is easily readable from a distance. The digital readout goes off after you are finished making a command from the remote or the buttons inside of the unit after about 5 seconds. I have seen some previous reviews where people have said that the controls on the remote control are different than the ones on the unit. That is not accurate. The remote control buttons are the same ones in the same amounts as the ones inside of the unit. The reason that they put it inside is so that they are not on the outside as they want everything to look realistic and there is no heat on the inside of the unit from the flames as they are not real flames but probably some kind of sophisticated LED system. So just open the door of the unit in order to see and press the buttons on the unit. I am speaking about the fireplace glass door. Very easy. The beauty of this thing is that the glass on the three sides of the unit are flat and so there is no distortion of what you are looking at inside of the unit. Some other units for sale have beveled glass or panes of glass and I simply do not like the look of that. This is simply flat glass and so the fire is not distorted. Essentially, a large viewing area of the fireplace. It was exactly what I was looking for. I have been testing it by running the flames about 16 hours a day without turning the unit off and there have been no issues. Again, I have the heater and fan turned off deliberately. Everything works. So if you are looking for a larger quality unit and yes it is a little bit more expensive than the smaller units, then I would recommend this. Like I wrote above, I only bought this unit for the fireplace effects and not the heater because I do not need the heater. But it seems as though you cannot really buy these units without a heater and so the important thing for me was that I was able to run the fireplace and also have the heater completely off including any kind of fan. I really love this unit because the fireplace looks so real. Truly stunning. I also want everyone to know that I do not work for any company related to this unit or Bolo. I simply purchased this unit on my own and I am writing a review for this unit because I think that there is information that is not included in the other reviews and I really wanted people to understand how to run the unit and the fireplace and yet have the heater unit completely off which is a natural setting for this unit but for some reason is not displayed in the written directions that come with the unit nor on the advertising page, and it should be. I am a teacher and I tend to write specifically. The picture I included above may not be the best picture as of course the flames are moving, but it will give you an idea. It has what looks like a brick wall behind the fire and that gives it a very nice look to the whole package.

I've rarely turned off the fireplace since I got it a couple months ago. I don't use the heat that often but it works fine. It's in my bedroom which is about 200 Sq ft and can heat it to any temp I've tried (but I never go over 68 in the bedroom). As others have noted, you have to be right up on the fireplace to feel the heat, the fan isn't that strong, and it doesn't heat a space super quickly, but it does heat a space. Does it feel like an actual fireplace, no. But it functions fine.The flames are too repetitious and fractaline but even so, it's not bad. I lie in bed and stare at it, relaxing and spacing out. It adds ambiance. Sturdy enough and light enough to easily move around. It was well packaged and I received it quickly. Depending on how long it lasts (I want at least 2 years of steady use or good customer support) I would Def buy again.

I actually did a lot of research on these. I decided to go with this one and I'm glad I did, I looked at lots of reviews and I am happy with this choice. I like that the heat comes from the top, I have a dog so I didn't want him to lay close to the fan on the bottom. Also, I liked the fact that I can turn it on, adjust the fan speed, the flame speed, and definitely the temperature using a remote from wherever I'm sitting. Other brands you had to get up and open the door to change any of these options. So far I am really loving this! I highly recommend it!

Despite the plastic legs, it really is pretty sturdy. I wish the legs were metal like the rest of the heater, but the plastic is super thick and sturdy, so I'm OK with it. The flames are pretty realistic. All we had to do was take it out of the box (very well packaged, by the way), attach the legs, and plug it in, and it was ready to go. It does put out a good amount of heat, but I like that it can just be a fireplace without the heat being on. I'm glad I purchased this one!

I bought this for my sister for Christmas and it is perfect for her. It was easy to put together (albeit very heavy) and looks like a 'real' fireplace for her rental home. It puts out just enough heat and has a variety of options.

The media could not be loaded. This is super cute, and if I was just looking for ambiance, I would like this a lot more. I bought this to replace an old fireplace heater in my den, and am so disappointed in heat output. It seems like it gets warm, but only blows out about 2.5ft in front. This would be acceptable if you have a highly insulated or very small room to heat. The remote is nice, but the lowest speed of flames is the only one that looks realistic, and the heat remains on full blast. The timer works well. I haven't noticed any smell and the measurements were accurate in the listing.

I really like this little electric fireplace! I actually did a lot of research on these. I decided to go with this one and I'm glad I did, I looked at lots of reviews and I am happy with this choice. The media could not be loaded. This is super cute, and if I was just looking for ambiance, I would like this a lot more. This would be acceptable if you have a highly insulated or very small room to heat. I haven't noticed any smell and the measurements were accurate in the listing.
