I bought this remote which uses batteries to replace the one that came with the TV. It's the exact same one except with batteries. No programming is needed. The remote with the TV didn't come with a cord to recharge it.

Works right out of the box (as long as your model is supported). I bought this as a replacement for my 2019 RU8000 55" TV as I dropped my old remote one too many times I guess as it came apart on the top end and it wouldn't snap back together like it usually would when it separated, and it made using the buttons somewhat difficult. So I just decided to grab a replacement. This one worked right a after I put batteries in it. Love not having to program it. The only difference is that my TV has Voice command, and this remote doesn't have that feature, however the top central button that was the voice command button, is the TV Settings Menu, which I actually prefer over the voice command thing. The top right button either has no function with my TV or I haven't found what it interacts with.

2nd time purchasing. Best Samsung remote, great quality only requires 2 batteries. Last one I ordered last 4 years, holds up well with a toddler in the house who is rough on everything.

Does not work very well at all!! So disappointed and unable to return! Constantly have to keep hitting the buttons to try and change the channel and the reverse or back button sucks! Note we bought two and neither of the remotes work great. Ended up buying something else that works beautifully.

This remote feels like a cheap knock-off from the similar-looking original remote that came with the TV. The feel of the buttons is very plastic-like compared to the smooth-pressing buttons from the original remote. The ‘quick buttons’ at the bottom include a button for RokutenTV which I’ve never heard of and when pressed, shows a ‘this app is no longer available in your country‘ message on the TV.That being said, the remote does work, other than the useless extra button, and fills in for a lost remote or as an extra remote to turn on and navigate the TV menus. Given the fairly low price, I’d probably buy it again knowing what I know now and the ‘extra remote’ role that I want it for.

Remote works
The remote worked instantaneously. It did take a few clicks to check. It’s doesn’t have the original voice option.Now hope it lasts for a few years
