It actually is a wax, and sticky! It keeps the pesky moustache hairs exactly where you want them; out of your mouth and out of the way when eating! With this, one can grow one's moustache without having to trim around the lips, thus eventually reaching a length and shape, so as to twist the ends and shape them/it anyway, one would like!!It's perfect for the purpose and I absolutely love the fragrance! I recommend the sandalwood! I bought the kit with the comb!The comb too is perfect, it is tiny, just right for the intent and it helps immensely with the application! My kit also came with a little plectron or triangular piece of hard plastic! I assume it is for applying the wax or to twist the tin/can open, I'm not sure! I just used a corner of the comb! I might use the plectron for my guitar play, and pretent I'm a member of ZZ TOP, once my beard has the right size!Both the comb and the plectron are so small that they are in the actual can/tin packaging/ box and not separated! This made me think at first, that there were none included and I actually called and reported an incomplete order, when as it turned out everything had arrived after all! I also had expected a second can/tin in this combo kit, but I guess I misread or the description of the deal is just a little confusing! I guess what they should make clear is, that there are 3 items in this deal, 1 can of wax, 1 applicator (plectron) and 1 tiny inzzywinzzy perfectly sized comb, all packaged in one small cardboard box, just big enough to fit the tin/can perfectly! Anyways, none of that is enough to take anything off of a 5 star product/deal! I tried other products, pomade and putty and what have you, but no, this is what I wanted! It's wax! It just goes right in and slam bam thank you mam, puts the growth in it's place! Get yourself a can y'all!

You might have noticed the split of "It's Awesome" vs "It sucks!". That's because different facial needs different amounts of support.If you (like me) have coarse, wirey, thick stranded mustache hair, this is not for you. It would hold while applying and then hairs would go rogue and stache would lose shape.But if you have thinner, finer hair, this will probably work great.It is easy to apply. The smell is fantastic. It washes out easily with soap and water, and it leaves a natural look. And you get a lot of it.It didn't work for me, so I'm trying Bare Bones next.

I expected to return this, but did not (still not sure why). It is a very soft wax that is easy to apply and provides only moderate hold to my thick and curly hair. There is absolutely NO WAY I could ever call this a Strong Hold wax unless I gobbed on huge amounts of it to make the 'stache look like a tootsie roll.I still use it occasionally, but only a day after I have previously used a good strong-hold wax like Clubman. Scents are hard to rate for other people - I usually hate almost all stinking scents in any product, but I do like both beeswax and vanilla. This is very mild and pleasant to me. The comb is decent, but nothing special; it doesn't provide anything that the small end of a long barbers comb doesn't do. If you use a comb during the day, this would be a good option to carry.I have been in contact with the seller, and they are great to deal with - they really do care about their customers. If this stuff just hadn't been sold as "Strong Hold", I would not have any complaints.

Smells great and the comb is awesome. The wax does not hold super strong.. so I use this when I need to keep it contained, but I don't need the perfect handlebar.There are stronger cans of stache wax available, but most smell like you jammed a bunch of playdoh under your nose..BL: I use this wax the most.. like for work. If I wanna show off, I use the stinky strong hold wax.

I like this mustache wax. I was just thinking this morning how it is about time that I buy some more. This has a low melt temp, so it incorporates well into the body of my mustache allowing me to style it so that it keeps the hair out of my mouth.Then, I use a different wax with a higher melt point to shape the ends (points) of my mustache. There is no right or wrong way to do it, that is just what I do.

The wax is unscented and has good hold. The amount of wax is good for the price. However the comb is just a cheap free gift item and is not very strong. I thought of it as a combo pack but i was wrong to buy this wax just so i could have the comb. But i have looked all over and there isn't a comb like it with a good keyring hole. So i buy it and the teeth are brittle and the first one lasted awhile and then i got a new job where i sometimes have to lift things and i broke my comb by crushing my pocket. So i ordered a second one and that one broke within a week. If i was able to buy just the comb for $5 or less i would keep buying them, but to buy jar after jar of unscented wax just to keep getting combs is a no-go. I myself prefer tree sap scented wax, and if this was available as a tree sap scent with the comb i would keep buying them but i won't use all of this unscented wax. Striking viking reached out to me trying to make it right with a refund. I told them what i really want is for them to sell the comb separately. They of course said they would forward my suggestion (everyone says that) but i really doubt we will ever see the comb(s) for sale as a side item. However because i was originally wrong to buy this (TWICE!) just for the comb and they tried to make me feel better, i have changed this review to more fairly reflect the actual value of the wax (and free comb)

The wax holds perfectly without being too stiff, and the comb is high-quality and easy to use. Keeps my mustache styled all day. Smells great too! A must-have for any bearded gent.
Not good product maybe it's old
The product is has good smell but it dose not hold well , also it dose not blend and it leaves residue on the mustache, it looks like you ate something and did not wipe, very annoying and useless
