I wasn't looking to spend a fortune because he's just starting to play, so I wanted to make sure he's going to stick w it before I invest in a more expensive ball.To my suprise, he really likes it! He said, "Even though its a size 7 ball (standard size ball for nba), it feels like its a lil smaller, and he can get a better grip.

The ball IS NOT leather or composite (as in details). It is rubber. BUT... for a rubber ball my son loves it for his concrete court in our driveway. I originally gave this a 2-star because I was expecting a leather ball but after my son said how much he liked it for outdoor.. I changed it to 5 star.

I bought it for a neighbors son's. They both love it.It is very nice and made very well. It was easy to inflate. I hear them outside bouncing it and having fun.

This basketball has a very classy design style and color combination. It hasn't improved my shooting, but I like the way it looks. It also allows you to have a good grip. It was offered at a fair price. I am very happy that I ordered it. I never saw one like this in the stores where I shop, It is well-made and will last for a long time.

Great ball, shame about the packaging.
I was expecting the ball to be packaged in Wilson official packaging but I received it in just an Bolo box with some paper padding. Luckily it wasn't a present for someone but thought it was worth reviewing in case another purchaser was intending to buy it for someone. I pumped it up to 8.5 psi and have used the ball on concrete, good bounce, well made, good grip but some black paint has chipped away from the lines after first use. It's been a few weeks and the ball has retained its air pressure. This is marketed as an outdoor ball for those who haven't checked. Also unsure how long the nobbly grip will last until worn down. All in all a good purchase and have had plenty of fun using it.
