If my dogs could speak, they’d tell me just how much they love these.Pros:1. They’re the perfect size for both of my dogs. I’ve got a Shih Tzu and I tear them apart in 1/2 for her(she doesn’t chew her food). I’ve also got a Golden Retriever/Cattle dog x and I give him a whole one(he does chew his food.)2. They’re soft enough that I can tear them in 1/2 and she doesn’t know the difference.3. They’re not hard at all making them easy to split in 1/2.4. They’re definitely at a great price point for the amount you get. Especially if you tear them in half.5. They’re last a long time without drying out. I put mine in a container with a lid. They seem to last a lot longer than leaving them in the bag.6. They’re the perfect treat or training treat, or you may use them however you’d like to given the fact they’re soft enough to tear in 1/2 or leave whole.7. Given all of the above, they’re functional all the way around.Cons: The only con I’ve got is, I wish they were a little bigger.

I just gave my 4 month old puppy his 1st one of these treats I just ordered for him and at 1st he licked it and then didn’t know what to do with the treat because he doesn’t have all his teeth in yet. He started to bite on it and ate his 1st one and fell in love!My puppy 1st love is the Wellness treats!My puppy loves Wellness Treats! I also love it too because it’s so healthy for our little pups!

I got these for my golden retriever pup & she loves them so much! Each treat is big enough to break in half when using them for training rewards so you really get a good amount of product for your money ! They’re not dried out so I think that’s what she really likes. I like the ingredients listed so I know it will help keep her healthy!

Cooper my dachshund loves these!! They are a good size, but since cooper is so small I can even cut them up and they will still be perfect. They are soft I can just use my fingers to split them. Cooper also loves the taste!

My dog is a 1-year-old Shhitzu. He is extremely picky with his food and snacks and some have cause him to have stomach problems. There are no many foods or snacks he loves, but he LOVES these snacks, more than peanut butter.

My dog loved the flavor but these really are not for dogs without teeth as suggested. The squares are not soft but more like the consistency of foam rubber. I had to cut the squares into 4 pieces so my dog wouldn’t choke on them. They were also pricey.

RECALL - The very best treat reward ... because a recall *must* work to save a nasty incident so tends to be fresh chicken or ham or cheese2. Training - When you want to reward new and good behaviour in the early days3. Standard treats that are there for normal trained behaviours like checking in or mat training4. Low value ... dog will often turn his nose up.These fall between the 2-3 level. Puppy likes them and will work for them but soon becomes bored
Too big for my puppy
My australian shepherd found these difficult to chew-- and he has a strong bite. This made them impossible to use during training because he would choke on them as he tried to complete an exercise.
What are the translucent shards?
When I cut these up, hard translucent shards of what look like….glass/ seashells/ bones fall out. Has anyone received a response from Wellness about what these are? Is it safe for my puppy to consume?
Great for Puppy Training
This is our 3rd order of these treats (we buy 5 at a time). Use to reward 11 week old Golden Retriever Puppy for potty outside and it has been very helpful and she has learned very quickly (along with massive praise and excitement when she goes outside). She will come for her treat sit down right in front of me and get her reward - has been great for training. I use this special treat for outside potty training only and when I put her back in her create after going out for bed time - loves her crate for sleeping and making never once yelped or complained since we bought her home at 8 weeks, reinforce it is a good place with a treat at night time after potty (11am, 3:00am) and she gets breakfast at 7am. Just use regular kibble for basic training in the house (a lot cheaper than these treats), for sit, lay down, paw, stay/come. I recommend these as "premium" treats for really important behaviour training.
