Long time player with a modest collection of some USA Gretsch, Gibson and Rickenbacker guitars. I am impressed with this imported ES. Set up was 95% good out of the box. Flawless build and finish with one minor sharp fret end. Easy fix. Sounds very nice, and in a band mix through a Fender DR tube amp, you'll not be disappointed in the pickups. I'll still polish the frets and maybe file the nut slots down a tiny bit for the E and A strings, but just to my tastes. Outstanding value.

This opinion is more for long time players.I've been playing for 38 years and own mainly Gibsons/Fenders. I bought this guitar truly just for fun, always wanted an OD green guitar. I owned a few Epiphones in the early 90's and they were nice looking garbage, so I had kind of low expectations for this one.Now to my review..Pros.. Overall its a decent guitar, nice looking and I can tell Epiphone has gotten much better with hardware. It's a nice weight and seems well balanced, at least to me. Pretty good sound overall, not worth changing PU's out as they sound good enough. The finish is nice, it does have that plexiglass feel though. Sorry I just prefer the lacquer finish of the American Gibson or Fender.Cons.. The fretboard was what I kind of expected from Epiphone. It was a wreck. Spent at least 2-3 hours cleaning up, polishing, and leveling the frets. They looked like they were dragged over jagged rocks and very sharp in some places. These guitars cost enough that Epiphone could put in a bit more effort in their fret work.Overall it will make a cool addition to my collection and it will be fun to play. I give it 3.5 outta 5.Please note that I bought this guitar from a different site, but wanted to be helpful as I know many buy instruments here and have questions that need honest answers.

Great guitar. You should expect to have it set up after arrival. Value is great for money. Purchase a case also. I use it for home playing and practicing. It would also work well for gigs.

The output jack was broken the company who sent should have saw that before shipping it out to me . I was very disappointed I had wanting the guitar for a year .

Once it set up, fantastic guitar
This guitar looks and feels great as you'd expect. The set up out of the box wasn't great and it needed some work to alleviate some fret buzz and sort the action but once that was done, it plays like a dream.
