Inside the packets is the SPAM we all know and love. It's one double-wide slice of SPAM that has an indentation running down the middle. It's a suggestion in case you want to split the patty into 2 slices that would be the same size you would get slicing a block from the can. I made a SPAM, egg, and cheese for breakfast this morning and, yep, it's SPAM.My only quibble is the price. It's a lot more expensive than buying it in the tin. That's OK if these are the serving sizes you want. But in my experience I have never thrown out unused SPAM. When I open a can, even if I don't use it immediately, I will always find some use for it in the next 24 hours.I think the best use for this would be for sale at a concession, for instance at a campground or convenience store. The box opens as shown in the picture and allows for display of the individual packets. And there the markup is justified.

SPAM may well be the perfect food for survival situations, as it's high in fat and calories, shelf stable and easy to prepare over an open flame. It's now also available in a single serve portion. That makes it ideal for a campground meal after an intense day of hiking, a survival bag in case of a natural disaster or a road trip where getting to the destination quickly is important. The box stores all 12 pouches in an organized way that also makes it ideal for someone who might like to indulge in SPAM occasionally, but doesn't want to commit to eating an entire can. Of course, with convenience comes a convenience fee and this version of SPAM is not exactly a great value for the money, at least when compared to cans of SPAM ounce for ounce.

This is a 100% legit packaged spam. It has 2 slices of spam in each pouch and doesn't contain a lot of fat. Just think of it as pre-sliced spam that you would get from a can. The taste is 100% the same and don't think that this is the less sodium version. It's still the classic salty spam.My only gripe is the packaging. I had a much harder time than I would like to admit opening the box. I ripped it wrong and the outside case to me is useless now. Also the price.......way too expensive for what this is. It's about.....2 cans worth of spam. This costs way more. Also for the best buy date, I have November 2025.

Growing up in the 70s spam was in constant rotation around our house. I kind of trained myself to not be a big fan of it. But as I grow older, I realize that it’s not that bad at all in fact, some fried spam wrapped in some cheese and eggs is a decent breakfast. A protein punch if you will! These single serve pouches, make it a lot easier than having to grab a whole can fry it up and freeze what I don’t use. Extremely convenient extremely practical with that class spam taste! I would recommend it!

I have not ate SPAM before but I have heard about it because it is a classic staple of American food and is present in many other cultures as well. It tastes very fresh and does not need to be refrigerated. It stores well, and is great for keeping at work if you need it in a pinch. It is great for sandwiches or to eat on its own. You can also cook it in a pan with eggs for a full and tasty breakfest.
