I can see myself easily biking to school with this bag and also I love using it to travel. It is small however that is ideal to me for biking and flying. Can easily fit a few books/ journals as well as my computer. The water bottle pouches are high up and hard to reach, however, that is preferred for me so I don’t worry about my bottle falling out and I don’t reach for it until I have gotten to my destination. In summary: lightweight, adorable, comfortable, compact (in a good way), and can withstand wear and tear.

I love this bag! It’s great for hiking. Comfortable to wear all day, has nice pockets and areas for organization, and not bulky. We have two at my house and have been using them for over 5 years. They are still in great shape, zippers and everything work great. The only visible wear is that the black bag faded from being in the sun. Thus bag is also great to use if you chaperone a field trip or go to an amusement park.

This Osprey Day Pack is absolutely outstanding! I bought it as a gift for my daughter and she LOVES it! The size is perfect for her (she is petite) and the color is just plain awesome. She travels quite a bit and this lil' pack fits her needs perfectly. It has the ideal storage capacity to keep what she carries close at hand and easy to access. The overall design is well thought out with just enough compartments to keep things organized and easy to locate when you need them. The pack is very durable and will hold up for years (with some care of course). Osprey certainly knocked it out of the park with this pack. Highly recommend 👍

TLDR: 11/10, would (and did) buy again. Perfect small backpack. Very well manufactured, unbeatable warranty through Osprey. Lightweight, water resistant, and perfect size for a light day hike.This pack is a smaller backpack, enough to carry a light jacket plus some other knicknacks. Is not a full sized backpack. Perfect for a light hike or for exploring a foreign city. Flat pocket that sits along your back for carrying a hydration pouch or can double as a tablet or very thin notebook pocket. Smaller outer pouch with two flat pockets for additional small things. Shoulder straps are robust and comfortable. Chest and waist strap included. Chest strap buckle is also a whistle.This is actually my second Osprey Daylite, my first purchased many years ago. This is an updated version with deeper and more functional outside mesh pockets for water bottles. The "handle" between the shoulder straps is also a little closer to the pack allowing the pack to sit up a little higher on the back if desired. My first pack is still holding up great, but I passed it on to my son - it's a good size for a kid to wear and carry stuff around in. Bought a second for my other son now that he's old enough to carry his own stuff around too. I upgraded to a Daylight Plus since I wouldn't mind a little more carry space (a fantastic option if you want something just a little more roomy than the Daylight). I wouldn't mind a couple more pockets/pouches, but that's a very minor gripe.

Great light weight pack for a day out. I used this pack on a cruise to Cozumel and recently on a trip to the Indy 500. There's enough space in the main pocket for all necessities and some souvenirs as well. The large mesh pockets on each side are great for drink bottles or sunscreen. The small secondary pocket on the top front of the bag is good for small accessories like extra GoPro batteries and SD cards. I didn't use a hydration system, but the pocket is good for anything you don't need to be secured and keep easily accessible.The back panel has a firm pad and light frame to keep control of your load, while maintaining low weight and small size. Thin breathable mesh on the shoulder straps and back panel allow for good air flow during hot days. A carry handle at the top of the straps is perfect for slinging the bag around when not on your shoulders. Materials and build quality seem good, and have not shown any wear/damage so far. Color options are vibrant and of high quality.There are only a couple of things that kept this bag from being 5 stars. I would have liked for the small secondary pocket to be waterproof and/or have a water resistant flap over the zipper similar to the main pocket. The zipper on the main pocket probably should have been a little more robust, rather than such a fine zipper. It's slightly difficult to close and feels like it may be a weak link in the design eventually.As a side note, the waist strap comes off easily when not in use. I had no use during my travels for the waist strap, and when not in use it hangs down in the way and makes the shoulder straps fit strange. You can simply pull the strap out of the buckles and it solves both issues.Overall, great pack if you're looking for a lightweight, water resistant, day bag that retains a lot of capability. It also looks really nice and seems to be made well. The price might be a little high for what it is, but it's also of higher quality. I would buy again.

I used this daypack on a 10-day walking trip. It met my needs. It is sturdy and comfortable to use. The back ventilation panel is a good feature. Mesh pockets on the sides fit larger water bottles. I wish the middle pocket extended to the bottom. At times, this made the bag top heavy if I had some items in the pocket. Straps are good. The backpack fits under the seat when traveling by airplane. It appears this backpack will last for years.

Great product that is well built. Perfect size for an everyday backpack. My son needs to carry life saving allergy and asthma meds with him wherever he goes and this is the perfect size with extra room for a lunch container or other items, without being so bulky like most backpacks.

My husband uses this for birdwatching to hold snacks, water, and his camera. It is lightweight enough for him to wear it walking 3+miles at a time. The side pocket for the water bottle is great as it is taller so the water bottle isn't dumping over. The straps are comfortable and a great size for the clip holder for his camera.

Very comfortable and practical little backpack
The backpack was purchased to replace an old backpack that had seen better days. I have a larger Osprey backpack and have found it to be very comfortable and well made. The new smaller osprey did not disappoint. It has a vented foam back section which is great for hot days and long hikes. The compartments are well designed and carry quite a bit of stuff for a compact backpack. The price was also a deciding factor as it is very good value for a top quality backpack - no hesitation in recommending it to other potential buyers.
Great little backpack!
It meets my requirements, it's held up well for the year that I've had the backpack so far, using it frequently in that time.It's reasonably comfortable even when packed rather heavily.My only gripe with it, is that I wish that it was a little bit bigger, but that's more my personal issue rather than an issue with the backpack itself.I fully recommend it, if you want a small, daily-use backpack.
