Buy these on sale if you can to get the most of your money. They are good for cooking, but the finish will not hold up as others have stated. After a few uses, some pans are discolored more than others. We used stainless steel cleaner to get some of the copper look back. Just expect this and you won't be too disappointed.

This is an expensive luxury item and there is no quality control. The item appeared to be used first of all, but it took a few days to realize why the previous person may have returned it: the steel for the cookware was inverted in at least 2 of the items. You could figure this out by placing a magnet on the inside and outside. The outside is supposed to be stronger, but in two instances it was weaker. This means two of the pieces of cookware did not work on induction stoves. Not cool to send a roughed up box and used poor quality cookware.

I noticed the poor reviews revolve around the heat patina that forms on the copper after use, as well as the food sticking to the pan despite adding oil. To use steel pans, one must learn the steps: 1. Heat the pan first 2. Add the oil once pan is hot, let oil warm up for a few seconds 3. Add food.I have used a pot and my large pan from this ten piece set so far; cooked ground beef and rice, veggies like mushrooms, onions, garlic, and bell peppers so far, as well as made creamed spinach. I have not experienced any sticking whatsoever and find the pans cook my food more evenly with less risk of burning. These are the best pans i have ever used! If you don’t want the copper to change color, then you shouldn’t buy a set with visible copper parts, otherwise you can condition it to remove the natural patina that forms from heat exposure. I personally like the patina, it doesn’t bother me. I would recommend this set to anyone who cooks regularly and wants to do it the way the pros do it.

If you want ornamental pots and pans, go for it. But if you actually want to use them, move on. I thought these were beautiful but after one use the copper color is gone for all but a gross yellow tinge. They scratch so easily and one has water stains from cleaning it (never even used). And they aren’t dishwasher safe. The practicality of these is nil and hopefully this helps keep you from making a quick decision on aesthetics only.

Like all copper-clad cookware, these should be hand-washed after use. I have these and All-Clad Copper Core sets and unless you're just super lazy, these do not belong in dishwashers. Rinsing agents in most dishwashers leave streaks and then extreme heat during the drying cycle can discolor the finish. If you're spending $1700.00+ on a set of these, you need to roll up your sleeves and wash them by hand.

My pots and pans are on display on a hanging rack so appearance is not as important as functionality but still important to me. This cookware looked horrible after the first few uses. I love the way it cooks but hate the way it looks unless you want to polish it after every use. It's also very heavy - so heavy I cannot manage the sautee pan with one hand. I had such high hopes for this set as it got great reviews and looked stunning out of the box (last photo).
