Easily one of the best interpretations of a classic in years, Jekyll & Hyde get a rebirth through this wonderful spin of Robert L. Stevenson's tale.

This is an imaginative and enjoyable show that was cancelled too soon (over ridiculous complaints of violence.) The show ran at the dinner hour so apparently adults thought it was a kid's show (it's not) BUT other than some brawling this show is no more violent than Dr Who. Its well acted with interesting characters and a bit of cheese. It follows a descendant of the original Jekyll/Hyde in a (1930's) world already full of monsters. It's an interesting twist to try and make Hyde the "good guy" but alas the series wrapped up with a completed (if not somewhat depressing) finale. It sort of has a Dr Who(ish) charm and some truly creepy monsters. That Harbinger thing, YIKES. I would say if you liked Who, you'll probably like this. And YAY, finally on Region 1 for US customers.

I tried again and again to watch one of those episodes and always had to give up, because the back ground noise(sometimes it seems like some kind of music")would drive you absolutely crazy.There is constant rumble in the background, perhaps is the director trying to create some kind of tension or dooming effects.It does nothing of the sort-it is just incredibly annoying.Garbage, garbage, garbage!!!Overall rating:minus 10
Excellent series.
I watched the series and enjoyed it. I was searching for a different Jekyl and Hyde series and bought this one by pleasant mistake.I enjoyed the storyline and the actors. Excellent cast and it was fun to watch.

Absolutely fantastic series, loved every moment of it. Very sad it won't be coming back for a series 2, it seems.The DVD itself is great, I absolutely loved the bonus features! Well worth a purchase even if you've already seen the show as the bonus features are a treat. If you haven't seen the show I'd recommend giving it a buy, such a reasonable price for such a great series!
Great Show but only in Region 2.
I love this series! It’s a blast to watch, the characters are likeable, and it’s not that long so if you wanted to you could finish the whole series in a day or two. However, this is about the product, and unfortunately I should have translated the text because it’s from the United Kingdom meaning if you live in Canada or the United States (like I do) this disc will not work. It was so upsetting when I put the disc into my player, ready to have a great time, for the screen to then say that the disc could not be played. I guess it will have to look good as a collectable. Overall, great show, not so great listing.
