This is a beautiful white butter dish that holds 1 full stick of butter. It looks great on my counter top. It comes with a white handled butter knife too. The best part is the secure round handle to lift off the top of the butter dish. My butter is soft and easy to spread on bread and toast. Easy to clean by hand, I haven’t tried it in my dishwasher yet, but it says you can do that.

The butter dish that came with my dishes doesn’t have a knob so with damp or greasy hands it was hard to lift the lid. Even hand lotion made me feel like I was going to drop the lid. So in the cupboard it stays. The knob on this butter dish allows you to grab it without feeling like you are about to drop it. It holds one stick of butter. I love the red color. It doesn’t match my dishes but I don’t care. I can always get the one that matches out if we have company.

This is a great size - exactly what I was hoping for the description is accurate. It's perfect for a Canadian style stick of butter but you can cut a typical English pack of butter in half length-wise and it's perfect. No mess. Easy to leave out of the fridge for softer butter, ready to use. It looks very nice too. A bit vintage, maybe - in the best way. Very easy to clean. If you're keeping it in the fridge overnight it takes up hardly any space!
