This is the third purchase over the past few years with hundreds of hours of playing time on each prior to replacement. I am able to charge both the unit and/or the controller without having to remove from the holder.The reasons each were replaced was basically the same. In two instances it involved the tension of the top of the unit and its ability to keep the unit from becoming a limp noodle and falling flat on its face with movement while playing. The most recent was that one of the plastic pieces covering the screw on the side of the part holding the top of the unit causing the same tension issue on one side of the unit. Considering how much I use this product it was a no brainer to purchase a replacement.My sister has her original one that was purchased at the same time as my original unit. Hers is in perfect working order. Game time is a major contributing factor to be sure!

As anyone who has played the Nintendo Switch knows, it is not comfortable to hold in handheld mode. The joy-con analog sticks and buttons are small and there is no grip for your fingers to hold on to on the back of the joy-cons. To potentially fix this problem, the Fixture S1 is a mount that enables you to attach your Switch to your Pro controller for use in handheld mode. There are cheaper ones available on Bolo, but they cannot match the quality of the S1's plastic or hinge design (there are no tripod-style knobs to be tightened like those cheaper mounts). There are two hinges, one where the S1 connects to the Pro controller and one where it connects to the Switch, that allow you to find the exact angle you want and the hinges are very sturdy so it will keep that angle until you adjust it yourself. You can also remove the Pro controller from the S1 and use it as a stand for tabletop gaming. Unfortunately, you cannot rotate the Switch to play games in portrait mode.As far as the negatives, the S1 snaps on to your Pro controller and may cause some minor scratching at the contact points. I'm not sure how this can be avoided without significantly weakening the S1's ability to stay attached to the Pro controller but it is a concern. I think the bigger concern is the weight of this combination. Even though you can angle the Switch with its center of gravity more above the Pro controller's center of gravity so it isn't as top heavy, the total weight of the S1, the Switch and the Pro controller is not light.Switch (no joy-cons) = 10.56 oz2 joy-cons = 3.52 ozS1 = 3.1 ozPro controller = 8.3 ozThe Switch with joy-cons is 14.08 oz. The Switch (without joy-cons), the S1, and the Pro controller is 21.96 oz. Basically, you are trading the comfort of the Pro controller's grips and larger analog sticks/buttons for about half a pound of additional weight. Whether this trade-off is worth it is something you have to decide for yourself. I decided the added comfort of the S1 is not worth the additional weight.
Works perfect. Quality is really good.

I find using the switch in handheld mode pretty uncomfortable so I just never did. This is so much better.Build quality seems top notch and the switch screen fits in really securely.

Wonderful for playing handheld
Changed how I played my switch handheld, a little heavy depending on how you angle the screen but only takes some adjusting and time to get used to and it will feel pretty natural. Haven't noticed any scratches on my pro controller after putting it on and taking it off for a bit but best to just leave it on to avoid that. Will never go back to playing with Joycons by choice as a handheld.
