So far, a decent hatchet. Especially considering the cost I saw some hatchets that were $100 and more and Iโm sure they have good reasons for it but I think this oneโs gonna work just fine for what I want it for taking branches off deadwood, chopping down small live trees, etc..And sitting watching TV, I was able to put an edge on it that you wouldnโt believe. Iโm curious as to how that edge will hold up and for how long. Of course you have to sharpen your tools and often if you want them to stay sharp. Iโm just curious. Itโs not the lightest hatchet but doodle itโs construction. I donโt think that youโre gonna break it or the head will come flying off or any crazy stuff like that. Definitely a good Camping hatchet. And hopefully a good worst case scenario hatchet.

Updated review:The sheath is missing a rivet, you can see it in my original pictures, then I highlighted on my last picture. Also the head of the hatchet is twisted and not aligned with the handle. Perhaps the handle was put in twisted before the glue dried. These plus the fact the edged was rough and dented, and the glue sticking out, I donโt think it deserves 5-stars.Original Review:I like the weight and look of the hatchet. It came with glue joint a little messy, but easy to clean. Itโs fairly sharp, but the cutting edge has dents and it doesnโt go all the way to the top/bottom corners of the head. For the price is good and I think it will work for my intended use.

This axe is very handy to have when backpacking and is holding up well. The handle length is good and it is easily attached to my molle 70L backpack.

Really nice little camping axe
I was really impressed with the quality of this axe for the price. It is light yet sturdy. I will provide a more detailed update after I put it through some punishment.

it's ok, needs work before using.
Upon first inspection the steel appears sturdy, but the work putting the head to the shaft is a bit sloppy. The edge has arrived with several nicks and will need to be aggressively sharpened before I use it. The sheath is quite nice and has a convenient canvas loop hook. I may upgrade my rating pending how well the edge sharpens and maintains itself under use. Overall I expect it to do the job, I just don't like having to put so much effort into getting it ready on first use.
