These bags are great, at a great price. Food waste is a HUGE contributor to green house gases and climate change, so we need to compost organics as much as possible. I'm very fortunate to live in a city that makes composting food scraps fairly easy. And these bags make it even easier.

I bought these before.There’s a lot in the box so if you go through say one bag every other day, it’s gonna lady a long time. I’m now on our second box and I’d recommend them.One thing to keep in mind is, if you’re composting items that produce a lot of humidity or liquids, the bag may start breaking sooner. I would recommend you take the whole bin to the compost before you take the bag out of it.Someone in my family thought they were smarter 😂and tried to do without the bin, and they ended up having to clean up my whole counter, and everything else, because all the scraps came out the bottom.It’s also not going to hold heavy weight, so that’s one reason to walk out with the bin.It’s intended to decompose so it’s obviously going to be thinner than your average garbage trash bags. LOL!I rated mid low range for durability, leak proof and sturdiness because they are INTENDED to break down. If you expect them to not break apart at all, then they would not be compostable.Reason to use them instead of nothing in the bin, is so I’m not soaping up my small compost bucket every time I’m taking it out, and I don’t have any food scraps, coffee grinds etc left in it, that then would go down the drain clogging them.They’re certified compostable, or at least that’s what it states, so my hope is there’s no microplastic going into environment 🤞🏼I’d recommend these.

This is the best batch of compostable bags I've gotten so far. They've held up really well in my compost bucket. I normally put dryish things in them, but even damp things are OK. When they're full, I tie them up and throw them in my city compost can for commercial composting. I've heard these kinds of bags don't break down as easily in home compost heaps and just get gummy and weird.I like that these come as individual bags in a stack instead of on a roll like all the other bags I've gotten. When they're on a roll, you have to be careful when tearing them off the roll, because they're so thin and fragile. These open up easily, and I haven't had any tear on me so far.

Great bags for holding kitchen scraps. It fits perfectly into a covered container I keep in the fridge until full. Bags are strong & don't leak. They break down well in the compost barrel.

Love these. Got a compost cans for my mom for Mother’s Day, these make it super easy to keep it clean and easy to use. Good size for a table top composting can. Haven’t had any problems with them breaking or leaking, I recommend leaving enough space to tie a knot at the top.

These composable bags work perfectly for my food scraps and kitchen waste. Theyre sturdy enough if you dont overload them and break down as promised. A great swap from plastic and it fits perfectly on my compost bin! Will buy again!

Just what I was looking for since my area started collecting food scraps, these bags make it so much easier to collect scraps and dispose of them in an eco-friendly way. I don't recommend overfilling them with heavy stuff or anything very wet, but average cooking scraps are ok.
Strong, biodegradable and compostable.
BioBag (USA), The Original Compostable Bag, 2.6 Gallon, 100 Total Count, 100% Certified Compostable...I challenged the business end of a banana skin while I was tying up the over-full bag (note to self: don't over-fill). The hard banana stem didn't penetrate the material, even with extreme provocation, and dropping the bag into the empty green bin didn't breach it. The 16"x17" bag size is perfect for those 8L/2gal oval counter-top bins. I looked at other brands online, but I wasn't sure that they were biodegradable and compostable: the BioBag is not outrageously more expensive for that assurance. Bonus: the box dispenses the bags as singles. Yes, no more pulling and tearing! Happy with the product..

Importunely it didn't work for us because of the sizing - great bag felt very strong

After 3-4 days, the plastic starts to disintegrate so be sure to discard immediately.
