Pros:Health. Good hybrid product, to replace the commonly-used plastic bottle, combining the healthier benefits of glass with reduced breakability.Size. Very versatile size. Easily fits into most any vehicle cup holders, whether in console or door. Easy to grasp and easy to hold. Most similar products are far too wide, making them easier to drop.Visibility. The obvious transparent glass makes it easier to see the contents and the condition of them. Almost all plastic bottles have solid or patterned finishes. For example, I may want to know if the contents beginning to spoil, have they settled, do they need to be re-mixed, etc.Seal. I have had two of these bottles completely filled with water, laying flat on a bed for over two weeks now. Absolutely no sign of dripping or leakage. Very impressed with the gaskets that come in the lid.Cons:Description. I wish the product description and images would provide Fahrenheit readings in addition to the Celsius readings, for easier reference.Price. I think these are slightly over-priced at $22.99. IMO, $17.99 or $18.99 may be more on target here, for a bulk, 6-pack purchase.Drop Test. Although I have not tried to break this product, glass can of course break if hit or dropped hard enough. So I'm sure this is certainly not as resilient as plastic but still probably the best compromise due to the dangers of plastic.

I am making the switch to glass away from plastic containers, and needed some bottles for water storage at work in my truck... these are what I decided upon.They feel like I could drop them and they would survive, but not willing to test that just to test it.There is a debate about recycling borosilicate glass.... etc. I plan to use these until they break, which I hope will be more than a decade from now. That will offset a mountain of plastic I have been using, much of which is being buried anyway, because the recycle system is struggling in the US. Between use LESS, or RECYCLE, using less reduces the total waste that has to be addressed anyway.While I would love if they were bigger, like 1 liter, at those sizes, you need to buy them individually. So I opted for smaller size but a set. Like a starter set for me...These feel sturdy in the hand, and the lid clearly seals the contents as the water tried to evaporate but condensed at the air gap at the top of the bottle.I will definitely need to watch them in the winter with ice expansion when they freeze, but I am happy with them for the summer so far.The mouth of the bottle is larger than typical water bottles, which is nice.I am hopeful they will perform well over time, and while I may ultimately switch to larger bottles, these work great for now. I plan to explore some juicing, so these may be converted from water storage to juice-to-go bottles at home in the future.Summary: Good Purchase, They Feel Solid!

I have many of these bottles, although I usually buy the kind with the coozies. These were on sale and the coozies fit so I was happy with the bargain I got.The stainless part of the lid falls off of the plastic lid within a couple of months. But it's just decorative so it doesn't matter.I put up a photo with the stainless steel lid and one without. I bought the very similar bottles with the coozies here on Bolo as well.I have to boil my water for ten minutes to really sterilize it due to a weird illness I have. I fill these bottles up with boiling hot water and not one has broken or cracked (well, except when I dropped one on the floor!).

I prefer to drink from a glass container than from a plastic one. I have owned these for 2 weeks now and have gotten rid of all the (reused) plastic drink containers in my refrigerator. I use pre-measured drink flavor packets in them and with several varieties in the refrigerator it make it very colorful. The 18 oz size is perfect. It is as large around as a soda can and twice as tall. Using 2 cozies, (one with the bottom cut out) enables their use and keeps my drink colder longer and my hands warmer. I was worried at first about losing the seals, but they seem to be staying in. Disappointed the "stainless steel" lids can't be used in the dishwasher and their seemly lightness a.k.a. mostly plastic...but they seem to be holding up. They do seal very well as tested by shaking vigorously. Would like the manufacturer to make 1 liter size as well in the future.

As an avid juicer, I have found that the Briefton bottles are just the right size for transporting my daily juices as well as my water in the car. The glass bottles are sturdy and the caps are leakproof. This is my third order as I have given some to my grown kids and I like to have several bottles on rotation. Even my oldest bottles are still clear. I use a Mr. Siga brush to clean the bottles and I dry them on a wood stick bottle rack. By moving away from plastic and using reusable glass bottles, you will enjoy a better tasting liquid and also help the environment.
