I bought this for my 05 GMC Duramax because the one it came with, the temperature lights had gone out. It seems to work with all the adjustments however it does make my truck throw a code when I use my scan tool.

This unit fixed my long-standing problem of reversed temperature controls and inaccurate vent position/mode actuator settings.I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 LBZ. One of the stock climate control temperature levers pulled out and broke. Replacing this with a used factory "compatible" part caused both right and left temperature/blend actuator controls to be reversed. The left blend door actuator was also either full hot or full cold with no mixing. It caused my vent control/mode actuator settings to be inaccurate. I tried the recalibration procedure and swapped out two stock used "compatible" HVAC control units and new blend door actuators with no improvement.After hours and hours of troubleshooting, this instantly solved my problem. I don't know how long it'll last, but for now it is well worth the money.The only con I noticed is I can no longer communicate with or troubleshoot the climate control system with my autel scan tool. This is presumably because the dorman unit has its own internal programming and automatically self calibrates. I'll hold onto my old climate control units and swap them in if I ever need to do any further testing with my scan tool.

This thing worked on 03 z71. Easy to setup. Unfortunately this did not fix my issue with only have Ac fan blowing only on high fan settings. Turns out I need a AC Fan blower resistor instead. Otherwise I would recommend it.

When the unit stops working then you need to unplug so that it can reprogram, and this will fix many of the issues that people are having.

What I disliked is that this replacement piece does not engage or allow for the vents to remain shut from the outer air to be shut off and closed unless you actually turn on the fan button while the original does I've had this replacement for no more than 6weeks and I had to disconnect and then reconnect the actual unit from the harnesses because at times the hot and cold feature does not want to activate when ai activate, turn on the fans to blow air to blow from the air vents and instead it blows air from the top portion of dash onto the windshield window and does not want to switch over to the vents exhaust which face the driver and front passenger. I bought this replacement becausemy original climate control unit had the lights to the face panel blown and could not see the face when driving at night so I bought this replacement and it's been an inconvenience already and a hassle. I need to find out if the shipper or Bolo will help me resolve my issues and dissatisfaction with this item by helping me return it for another replacement.
It worked. I followed the instructions that came with it. Fantastic replacement.
