My wife loved it the minute its head came out of the box, but looks without function--you know how that goes! Have been very pleased with how well it grinds, as well as the option to grind larger or smaller, whatever your preferred size. It seems solidly made; we use it only once or twice a day and have had it only 2 or 3 months, but I have hopes of it lasting. I remember learning in grammar school around 1958 about the emerging concept of "planned obsolescence" in the American economy--and our dying planet has seen how that goes! I'm counting on this item to go against the grain.

I have had this pepper grinder a little over two years and it has worked great. It recently stopped grinding pepper and I took it apart and someone in the family must have set it on a damp countertop causing the pepper dust to gum up the ceramic teeth. After cleaning the ceramic teeth with a knife and brush it works as good as the day I got it. Not quite as big as I expected but big enough and holds enough peppercorns, works great! Good buy!

All wood grinder with no metal insert. Holds a good amount of whole peppercorns to last a long while between refills. The parts fit together well and the cap stays on tight. Easy to grind. Ceramic grinder. Have been using for a couple months and no issues. It is a softer wood, so it is light, but may affect durability in the long term. It is lighter than the ones I've used in restaurants. Overall, would recommend and should last several years at a minimum.

I bought this for white peppercorns and it's lovely. I have a really old Mr. Dudley (20 years old) that works super well, so I was a wee bit unsure about this. But it's well made, looks nice, and has a nice coarse ground on it. I expect it to last as long as my Mr. Dudley which is still going strong.Also, I like these because they are a narrow body inside and airtight and it stops the peppercorns getting stale with air getting to them. I use these a lot and I don't have to fill them very many times a year.

Only thing I might warn about this pepper grinder is that the color in person is not an exact match to the image. It is actually more of a rustic white oak finish. Personally I don't mind this. After checking reviews on several similar brands noting poor finishes, easy to chip, crack, etc. I am happy to say that I have no concerns with this product. Quality grinder, quality wood (actual oak!), and simple, durable finish.That said, typically nothing can coerce me to write product review on Bolo. I made an exception for this product due to the genuineness of the company. Not only in the packaging but also via email the company sent thank you letters for purchasing their product. They followed up if Bolo delivery went smoothly, and included resources to return the product if any reason unsatisfied. No ads, no asking to review their product, just genuine follow up and gratitude. For that reason I can say this is the best $14 I have ever spent on Bolo.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought this pepper grinder in August 2021 for $16. It failed in May 2025 so, although I was disappointed, it did last for a few years. I saw that the price had gone down to $10, so I ordered another one. It failed today, just now, exactly 1 day after the return window closed, and the price is now $15. I am livid. I was about to request a replacement or refund for what clearly seems like a defective product, but now I'm stuck with cheap garbage. An utter disappointment.

Perfect medium-sized grinder. Like all pepper grinders, course-ness is adjustable by turning the top screw, and it fits perfectly in the hand.
