Description:
When elderly mother Edna inexplicably vanishes, her daughter Kay and granddaughter Sam rush to their family's decaying country home, finding clues of her increasing dementia scattered around the house in her absence. After Edna returns just as mysteriously as she disappeared, Kay's concern that her mother seems unwilling or unable to say where she's been clashes with Sam's unabashed enthusiasm to have her grandma back. As Edna's behavior turns increasingly volatile, both begin to sense that an insidious presence in the house might be taking control of her.

What a movie

I loved how unique and scary this film was. Completely unexpected.

Overall the product arrived in excellent conditions. However, there was a lot of buzz around the film, and it does not fulfill the expectations. It is an okay horror film.

I will say it is well-made, but it’s just that my type of movie I don’t really know what I was expecting but for me it was just a little too slow to keep my interest does that I need a lot of excitement in my movies. This one just didn’t seem to grab me.

I'm a longtime horror fan, who doesn't like 3 * horror, but a good story line and gore, very scarey, or super twist. I also love cult classics like Donnie Darko, Freeway I & II, and a few others. Now, I collect more movies than the super great classics (horror), that I really enjoyed watching, and would definitely watch again, over the years. Relic is one of them.

The boringness of this film was the most horrifying thing about it. There's a little bit of horror going on right before the ending, but prior to that... it's just a made-for-cable movie about women coming to some kind of terms with/about their mother. It's got some mild creepiness and some atmosphere, but for the most part it's just women looking sad, being tired, trying to family hide grudges, etc. It's boring and waste of a cast. At least everyone involved got paid, which is always a good thing. All that said, compared to Galrand's "Men", it's positively Oscar-worthy. -- 3.5/10. Can't recommend.

It's a slow burn metaphorical mess. Don't get me wrong the acting is great and if you've had or have a loved one suffering with dementia this will resonate with you. But just know what your getting into or your gonna be disappointed like I was. It's not very scary and it's a slow burn. I'd recommend renting it first before you buy it.

IMHO , I guess I just didn’t like the way the film planned out. I understand, the “message “ behind it and all that. I just felt it wasn’t that good. I feel it fell short, it’s not a horror movie, to me, i just kept waiting for a point..this is about the supernatural ...wait no...ok no, writers tryin to tell me something else....about guilt, fear, abandonment...uh...getting old...being forgotten... then I started just wondering wth is going on...or worse...why? I’m just tryin to give a heads up to folks that are looking for a supernatural horror film. I just ain’t sure how to articulate it lol. I felt like I needed an exorcist after I watched “Hereditary”. I thought wth, that was spooky weird stuff. If that is what your looking for here you may be disappointed. Uh...how else could I explain? I read all the explanations by the writers and director..... it didn’t “wow”’me or make me go “ohhhhh, now I get it and it’s awesome “ I just felt like it was a let down. Like it had ingredients but with out salt it taste bland. Hope it helps some what..good luck
