I absolutely love it and use it everyday. I set the temperature and hit start get ready for work and in 10 minutes or less it is up to temperature and ready for my hot tea. Once it's at the temperature I just hit warm and it stays warm as long as I need it. I can set the temperature to 212 to warm up, take it off the heating unit and set it on my desk next to me and it will still stay hot for a few hours off the unit.I read somebody else's review and said that it doesn't stay warm for long that it has bad insulation. I don't feel that at all. Oddly enough even after you turn it off hours later it is still warm at a perfect temperature so the insulation is actually really good. I've even gotten up in the morning after sleeping all night and it's slightly warm with whatever water I left in it.I think the price is a little high. But I've used it for about 2 and 1/2 years now and it's still going strong so I would say it's worth it and would buy again. Just wish they had red or maybe even purple.Update: I bought my first one in 2021 and then decided to buy another one in 2022. So I had one in the office and then one at home but then we started working permanently from home so I ended up with two. Absolutely love them! They work great. I've never had any issues with either one of them until recently. The base on one of them was making noise and I tried to unplug it, plug it back in and reset it and it still kept making noise. So I guess it finally killed over. Not sure if it's the one from 2021 or the one from 2022. Obviously since they're identical. But I am looking for the base if that is possible to replace so I don't have to buy a complete unit.

Nearly half the time it dribbles or spills. Occasionally it tries to pour sideways, backwards, underneath itself ... a fraction of your hot water may go somewhere you won't want it to.Apart from the obvious fact that no one associated with the design of this device even knew there *could* *be* engineering thought put into the shape of a spout -- apart from that one nasty flaw -- this is the best kettle I have ever even heard of. Using a funnel works. Pressing the open button *after* tipping over the pot usually works. If they would just put some actual fluid engineering design thought into the next version, I will definitely buy at least one (I have 2 of this model).Everything about the controls, settings, timing, and insulation ... those all work great for me. Every detail that is NOT about the act of transferring hot water from the kettle into a desired target location is well done. The temperature hold feature, the speed of boiling, those are great. But when you try to pour almost-boiling water into anything that isn't more than three inches in diameter, you are VERY likely to get a fraction of that hot water going off in an undesired and almost unpredictable direction.One tiny change I would make is to turn ON the temperature display for a few seconds after the kettle is placed on the base. But if the spout were good that would not be enough to take away even half a star. If the spout were even "pretty good" I'd be swooning about how I'd like to give more stars than I can. But the spout is such a problem that I have to take a whole one away.Bit of advice: I use exclusively distilled water, so I never have to de-scale, and as a bonus build-up can never exacerbate the spout problem.

I bought this for my van so I would keep from using the house one. I like how it's insulated and I can put it away and the water is still plenty warm for tea hours later while not on the heating base. Awesome for driving/stowing. I think since it's insulated it heats so much faster than our house model. The temp control is what it is. Pretty similar to our house one. Also even though it is sealed, Keep in mind it can't fully seal otherwise it would be a pressure cooker. It fell over once and didn't really leak till we found it and put it upright. Better than if our other one fell over, water would have been everywhere.If your looking for a cool to the touch kettle, fast heating and still easy to clean its perfect.Update after a year:Still works great. We heat it up the first time and then store kettle in the cabinet. Stats perfectly warm for hours. Still happy

I purchased this kettle just short of 4 years ago and love it. It’s accurate, comes to temp quickly, pours well and doesn’t splatter all over, and keeps the water warm for hours, even into the next morning, due its insulated body. Whereas my Cuisinart kettle died after 10 months…both times…this one is still going strong and I use it daily. Highly recommend.
