The quality of these products is good and I didn’t notice any decrease in quality ordering from Bolo. However if you are someone with acne prone or oily skin and are looking for a good vitamin C and retinol, these may not be the best products. I found that they did not make a big difference for my skin and sometimes pilled when mixed with my moisturizer. But if you do not have skin issues, these are good mild introductions to vitamin C/retinol.

I read somewhere that all we need for our face and fine lines and sagging skin is retinol and vitamin C, this product is great I could feel the tightness around my neck and my face almost immediately I'm going to use it for a very long time.

I use the Vit C in the am and have noticed age spots disappearing, it also seems to firm my skin a bit, then I apply an SPF moisturizer and makeup and that’s it. The Retinal is part of my night routine a few days a week. The results are good but slower to notice.

As a PA in dermatology, I know that the active form of Vit C is L-ascorbic acid. This product has an inactive form “sodium ascorbyl phosphate.” It is not as well absorbed and used for people who have sensitive skin and who are irritated by the active form of Vit C. My daughter got this for me, she has sensitive skin but I do not so unfortunately I won’t be using it.I recommend looking for a product with Ascorbic acid, ferrulic acid and Vitamin E. The best ingredients are the ones in Skinceuticals CE serum. But there are less expensive alternatives such as Timeless and Skin Deva.I do use the retinol to alternate with my tretinoin (I use tretinoin twice a week).
