About 10 years ago I bought this same scary spider from the spirit store... we really only decorated for christmas while also Hanukkah and some other great cultural decos... wed put corn stalks for the haloween thanksgiving feeling but this was the only halloween deco weve ever really bought and my was it a hit..... not only the scariness, but the perfrction of the engineering and operation of it.... I hope this one will work for our daughter as she is now in her own home and asked, (do you still have that scary spider cause i loved that so much)... we looked and sadly couldnt find but Bolo helped by still having them.... I cant wait to set up at her home to scare her as she walks towards her front door...

I really like this item....its just the right size (big) and really jumps out at you in a quick motion that would scare anyone! I am going to have to be careful where I put this, however. We don't want to have the little one's run off crying. I'll have to find a spot that the little ones won't venture into. I also purchased a contact mat that has a switch in it. When it is stepped on the spider does his thing. At night the movement sensors in these holloween animatronics have a hard time working, so this takes care of that issue.

My kid played with this thing a million times and it even got damp from rain but it still held up! My only issue is the sensor works with light which isn’t great at night obviously so we put up a solar light to cross its path so that if you step into the light the sensor still works!

This is exactly what it shows. The video is perfect on the site. It states you might want to weight it down in the back. They should change to YOU WILL WANT TO WEIGH IT DOWN IN THE BACK OR THE WHOLE THING WILL MOVE 6IN FORWARD WITH EVERY JUMP. You need a sandbag or something durable to do this but overall I am thrilled with this purchase.

This thing is so loud!!! And somewhat delayed. You need something heavy to hold the base down. The covering doesn’t stay on the plastic. Overall, it’s pricey for what it is
