I got this set after purchasing a number of smaller sets for specific mini's and other jobs. I came from the citadel & army P paints and I have to say Vallejo paints are for the most part superior for ease of use, coating, vibrance and thinness. You wont loose details with Vallejo unless you really try, and that's fantastic as im still a novice and end up having to do repeated coats because I dont know what im doing all that well. They dry very fast and mix well with their own and other brands without issue. Thinning these down and running them through an airbrush is as simple as it gets and also with great results.

This kit is nice however it is going to get shipped in a train wreck of a way, the container is really setup for the normal sized bottles so the mini ones get tossed around in shipping so don't be shocked. I had nothing broken or bad when mine turned up but just something to be aware of. Thankfully I had no busted bottles or leakage anywhere.Now out of all the starter kits I've seen this one gives the most colors and that can be important depending on the person using it. All you need is something to paint, a primer and off you go. The paints are from a good maker and nice looking, they go on fine with just a bit of thinning needed. If you enjoy the colors look into the game colors set they do next to expand on the colors for more warcraftish tones.

The other reviews mention a disorganized box with paints missing and duplicate colors, but I got everything in mine. The brush sleeve came off during transit, but the recess holding the brush kept the bristles from getting ruined.At about $1 a container of Vallejo paint with a size 0 brush and a 40-bottle case that can be latched shut, you are not going to find a better bang for your buck. Super happy with the purchase.

Sadly with opening the case, all paints nearly fell out. They gave extra space for taller bottles to store, but because of this you need to carry the case horizantally.

Guys it is fantastic paint to start the mini hobby but good only to get a feel for the paints they have smaller dropper bottles. recommended but not going to get much use they have larger sets for less you might want to start there first
