My review is for the Pixi Beauty +C Vit Priming Oil | Vitamin C Oil Energizes & Balances Skin | Nourishing Facial Oil | Creates A Flawless Makeup Base | 1.00 Fl OzI think it's kind of cool how it has 3 layers that require (intense!) shaking to get to combine before applying. At the same time...I don't think it goes on as well as it would if the ingredients were already mixed. Also...it's tiring to have to shake shake shake just to put something on your face in the AM/PM when you're in a hurry.I also think it's on the upper end of prices that I'm willing to pay for essentially a drugstore branded item.On the positive, I have sometimes sensitive skin and this did not irritate, despite containing Vitamin C. So that's a major plus!

I stole my original bottle from a friend after it broke her out and decided to begin adding it to my routine. I absolutely loved it from the start. Just a bit about me: I’m a 40+ AA woman and have had acne my entire life; I’d say my skin is relatively normal oil wise and I’m rarely sensitive to things. I’ve found that this oil didn’t worsen any of my acne and really did a good job smoothing the appearance of my skin.Now back to the oil. It has a really light smell which is pleasant and feels lightweight on my skin. As for application, I use after I wash and tone, then I give it a good shake, add 3 drops to my hands, and rub it all over. I’ve found that absorbs quickly and makes my skin, glow, and feel really hydrated. Now, don’t let the smooth taste fool you, I’m going to apply at least 2 more serums after as well as moisturizer and sunblock. So I say this to say, make sure you still moisturize after. I will absolutely continue to buy this, as long as they make it.

I really like this priming oil! It is very lightweight and absorbs quickly into my skin. I haven't used very many primers that are in an oil form before, so I was a bit nervous about applying this after my skincare routine but before my makeup. I was worried it would cause texture issues. However, it works well and creates a good base for my makeup! It does not change the texture of any of my skincare or makeup products. My makeup goes on smoother and lasts a bit longer when using this primer. If I use this primer and only apply minimal makeup, then my skin looks glowy and healthier.The oil has a light citrus scent, and it does not irritate my skin (which can be quite sensitive). I like that it has vitamin C, as well. You do need to shake the bottle before using the product each day, but it only takes a few seconds, so I don't mind.I would recommend this to anyone looking for a primer that will make their makeup look smoother and help their skin look more dewy. If you are sensitive to fragrance, the citrus scent may be a bit much for you, however I do not personally find it to be overpowering (it fades quickly after I apply the product). This is a good value; it almost feels like a luxury product, because it is so easy and pleasant to use.

I first spot tested this, and it did very lightly tingle for a couple minutes after. I have semi sensitive skin. It didn't cause any visible irritation, I just wanted to throw that out there to my fellow rosacea folks lol.When using, you're supposed to gently shake the bottle to mix the layers before drawing any into the dropper. Once mixed, the oil will appear mostly clear. It only takes a very small amount to cover my entire face. It soaks into skin well, but works best if you've let your moisturizer completely dry first.There is an extremely faint scent of citrus to the formula, but it's due to the oils used, not added fragrance. As with any primer, it's best to let this have a few minutes to sink in fully before starting makeup application. I've worn this under both powder and liquid foundations, and it works well with both. I use a glowy sunscreen too, so I did use just a very small amount of the primer oil so I wouldn't look insane.Some days I just used this with concealer and setting powder, which was great for a natural glowy look. The primer oil dries down well and isn't sticky or tacky. I like how easy it is to use, and the added benefit of it acting as an occlusive to my skincare. I try to be frugal with my beauty purchases, so keep that in mind, but I do think the price point is a tad high. I could see it being better suited to maybe a $17-ish price range.

This oil feels SO good on my skin! I use this exclusively as a primer (as in, I don't use it on days I don't wear make-up) and it makes my skin so smooth for my make-up. Shaking it up is easy and it blends quickly.
