It worked great. Tried store bought fog juice that worked well, the effect was more like a cloud than fog on the ground. Also tried to make home made juice which had a better affect but, was more expensive to make and the the kids lost the key ingredient. Really liked the lights on the front they gave the fog a really eerie look with the fog coming out of my front porch. A con is the timing and tank size if you just leave it on it drains the tank pretty quick and the fog is too thick. If it had a longer delay between and shorter cycles it would have lasted the night without having to constantly turning it on and off. The remote came in handy for dealing with the con though. Overall very happy. Trick o' treaters had fun and had nice things to say about the fog.

Overall, this is a fantastic machine. We used it in my church, and in about 3 minutes of use, the entire sanctuary was filled with smoke.The only thing that is odd is that the remote has "lock" and "unlock" buttons instead of "on" and "off" which was a bit confusing at the first use. Once you get it going though, it is wonderful.

Quite surprised about how much fog this thing kicks out. I bought one 15 years ago and it finally bit the dust. We use it one time a year primarily during Halloween place it on the front porch and gives the house a smoky haunted look at night. we’ve had it now for two Halloween‘s. Just need to remember to flush it out to save the pump pumps are cheap but it’s a pain in the neck when you’re trying to get ready two days before and have to order. look for the YouTube video that my son put together on a box opening and set up.

I love that I can turn this on and it'll keep pumping out smoke until it runs out or I turn it off. The machine produces a good amount of fog and I purchased a 2nd for the other side of my display!

PROS:* Produces nice fog with the right juice.* The LEDs are a nice touch but didn't appear to be customizable - huge bummer and I'm also not sure what gave me the impression that they were in the first place.* Machine is a nice form factor and easily assembled.* Remote works in close proximity. I'm not sure the silly retractable antenna does anything at all, however.* Standard power cable means it is easy to replace if frayed or damaged, etc.* Mounting arm can be useful and easily attached/detached.* It seems possible to have the fog juice drawn from an external source rather than the internal reservoir.* Separate power switch for the fog machine (LED-lit itself) and the LEDs. This means you can operate one without the other. Instructions say LEDs won't come on until the unit has preheated - but I didn't find that to be the case at all.CONS:* Active time. I tested it and it worked fine. When it came to actual use, it didn't last too long before powering off it seems. I thought perhaps the fog juice had been depleted. Nope! It was full.* Unconfigurable LEDs. Not sure why they bothered with RGB if they don't allow control of the combinations.If I was able to babysit this more I might have learned more about how this unit operates and (more importantly) why it turned off. But I couldn't and so I don't know that I'd recommend this unit one away or another as it may simply be an issue of user error.

I don't care what anyone says, this thing is incredible! Worth every penny. Got it for halloween this year, and absolutely rocked the neighborhood with the fog. Can't wait to make my own 80's music videos in my garage.

Broke after first use
Bought for last Halloween however it died midway through the evening. I had to return it to Bolo.
Good for what it is supposed to do
This is a good machine for the price, and stress what it's supposed to. It is meant for ambient haze for lasers and lights. It isn't meant to billow out thick, or low-lying fog that might be used in a Hallowe'en exhibit. It is only 500W so knew what your purpose is. The remote is really handy, as is the auto-spray feature. Great product for the price.
Well designed, works as advertised
Product was well packed and works as advertised.I have opened the unit because I was curious about the internal build quality and I was quite impressed. All it’s wires are well cable tied and routed and the exterior connectors are well secured to the casing.For anyone wondering, there is a thermal cutoff switch on the heater core to tell you when it is preheated, another thermal switch on the outside of the heater core to tell the unit when it is too warm, and finally a thermal fuse that shuts off the unit permanently (can be replaced internally) in case the unit heats out of control. In short, it most certainly will cut the power to itself before it has the chance to catch on fire.Well done thus far.It runs for about 20 seconds and then reheats for about 2 minutes per use, and it takes less then 5 minutes to heat up when it is first plugged in.
Lasted for 2 uses
Bought mine for use at Halloween in 2020, and used without issue. When it worked, it worked well. Used again in 2021, and no problem. It sat idle for 2022 and 2023. When I pulled it out for 2024, it wouldn't work. Machine would heat up but no fluid was making it into the machine - seems like the pump broke?Someone else posted a picture of the insides here, so going to have to open it up and see if there's a blockage, or if the pump part is just gone.Overall though, pretty disappointed to only get two uses out of it.
