Great for my extremely sensitive skin!
I have extremely sensitive skin, rosacea, and recently developed seborrheic dermatitis in spots with this terribly dry and cold winter in the northeast. I’ve been using this daily for a few weeks and my skin is noticeably improved. The product texture is a mix of liquidy, creamy jelly like consistency and it goes on nicely, absorbs pretty quickly. The smell is neutral, very mild. I highly recommend this to anyone dealing with skin issues and struggling to find a compatible product to help.

This is a great moisturizer that was recommended to me by my dermatologist for my sensitive skin. A little goes a long way! No smell and very light feel, not oily or greasy at all. Goes on smoothly and leaves my skin feeling soft and dewy without being shiny. This one doesn't have SPF, but some other options do. I really like it after a few weeks of use and will continue to use!
Sensitive, acne-prone skin
I have sensitive skin that is prone to both regular acne and fungal acne. This stuff does not break me out. It isn't a heavy moisturizer by any means, but it helps with the dry skin I experience from using acne products. I think it feels a little greasy--but to that end--it still doesn't break me out, so that's no big deal. It has no scent, which I love. And it has pretty good skin barrier repairing ingredients. Great price. Can't beat it.
Feels expensive but isn’t
Fantastic! I got a sample at my dermatologist and was Wowed. I also got the face wash. Great pairing. This lotion is light weight and doesn’t take much. My forehead had dry bumpy skin, within a couple weeks the dryness and bumpy skin was gone. My skin is very sensitive. The lotion does not cause issues. The soft and smooth skin lasts. The value is immense.
Medium weight minimal ingredient moisturizer!
As with another review, I’m looking for a replacement/dupe for Eucerin Urea Repair face moisturizer which is 5% ureaSkin concerns: dry rosacea, mid-40s, arid climate with 4 seasons, winters are cold and snowy and summers are 90°+ for most.This is a medium-weight moisturizer that I consider not greasy at all. It is not as hydrating as I need it to be for my dry skin type with rosacea. Thickness wise I say it is similar to a standard facial sunscreen.It does last overnight, in the morning I can still feel it in some areas. I will try increasing how much I apply in order to see if it helps with how much staying power it has. This may increase the hydration it provides and I will update my review to report back.I had a very mild stinging sensation but my rosacea is struggling since moving to a dry climate. Once I repair my skin barrier a bit, I fully expect this will cease.Due to this, I’m not going to get my husband to try it, he has constantly broken skin from severe eczema and stinging is something that makes him not use moisturizers. It’s a battle!For people in more humid climates this may be a more effective moisturizer, or those with less-dry skin than me. I never have flakes so this wasn’t a parameter for me.There is no tint. I’m not sure about white cast so I can’t rate it for skin tone. But I don’t feel there would be, this seems translucent unless you really go in with it.For me it is reasonably effective. It’s probably a good day moisturizer and I expect it plays well with sunscreen, though I would definitely let it absorb or dry down. Which is pretty standard for daytime skin care.There is a slight grippy feeling when applying, but this dissipates like the Eucerin Urea Repair does.This is not, for me, a replacement or dupe for Eucerin Urea Repair. It is a great value for the price!Overall for someone with skin like mine I rate it a very solid 4/5. I would likely purchase again for a lightweight moisturizer as a more affordable substitute for Beauty Of Joseon Dynasty Cream for day. Though this does not give me the “bounce” that does. Alas.Updated to add: I tried increasing the amount I apply, and that eliminated any grippy feeling when applying. I now apply both day and night and this has helped repair my barrier enough it doesn’t sting when I apply this. I still have a way to go before I can return to using my sunscreen, but I do work in a building with no windows so the few minutes I am outside, it’s okay if I go without.If I apply this to my eyes, it doesn’t sting them, which is great, my eyes are extremely sensitive and I hesitated, but it works out just fine. It isn’t thick enough to cause whiteheads to form on my lids, unlike some balm-type moisturizers (LRP!) and even unfortunately Bioderma Sensibio Eye+I have noticed the backs of my hands are improved as I wipe off excess onto the backs of my hands and into my cuticles. I was genuinely surprised by this, it’s not like I don’t wash my hands. I wasn’t expecting it to have any effect, but the stinging scaley hands are gone, now my hands just feel normal, even after wearing wool fingerless gloves all day at work.I will continue to use this product and will repurchase even after my financial situation improves.
All you need, great for sensitive skin
On the hunt for a new moisturizer, decided on this one after reading reviews and looking at ingredients. I’m 31 with true combination skin that is sensitive and acne prone. Previously used expensive cream moisturizers that ended up causing clogged pores/bumps all over my forehead. Got this along with a retinol cream and have noticed a huge difference in just a few days. Moisturizer is thin consistency but it is very hydrating, not sticky or greasy, and melts into skin nicely. No break outs or irritation and works well on top of my retinol cream. Seems to do well under makeup without pilling. Sometimes you just need to go back to the basics!
Magic for the price
I’m a facial product junkie and decided to try Vanicream to save some money and see if the hype was true. I’m not lying when I say this is the best light moisturizer I’ve ever used. Soaks right in, not greasy and layers great under makeup without pilling if you give it a few minutes to soak in. I have mature skin and it leaves it very moisturized. I also use the heavy vanicream with the pump at night to seal in my serums and retinol. Love this stuff and it’s less than half the price of my previous brands.
Best affordable facial moisturizer I've tried for sensitive/ dry face
I have a sensitive/ extremely dry face especially during winter and have tried a variety of moisturizers.Some moisturizers claimed to be hypoallergenic and made for sensitive skin but still managed to make me break out or was not hydrating enough.I bought this one on a whim and was surprised by how hydrated my face was. After one use my face did not feel stiff and felt so soft.After about a week I haven't noticed any breakouts or irritations like what I usually experience with other brands.I'm just happy I found a go-to moisturizer because it really was a struggle to lock one down for my skin type.Glad I gave it a shot!For anyone curious; the consistency is soft and can slide off your finger (learned this from personal experience lol), but not watery and there is no real smell to it.
