I recently tried the Nissin Hot & Spicy Chicken Flavor Ramen, and I have to say—it really impressed me! This ramen is perfect for anyone who enjoys bold flavors and a solid spicy kick. Here’s my breakdown:The broth is rich, bold, and really spicy—not overwhelmingly hot, but enough to clear your sinuses a bit! The chili sauce packet adds a deeper layer of flavor. You can adjust how spicy it gets depending on how much you use.The noodles are medium-thick, not flat or too skinny, and they cook up nicely. They’re chewy with a satisfying bite—not soggy or overcooked when made correctly.Ready in just 3 minutes using hot water or a microwave. Super convenient when you’re in a rush or need a quick lunch or snack.Like most instant noodles, the sodium is pretty high—around 1,180 to 1,500 mg per serving. That’s more than half the daily recommended intake. I wouldn’t eat it daily, but as an occasional treat, it’s totally worth it.Contains enriched wheat noodles, chicken flavoring, garlic, onion, spices, MSG, and a separate chili sauce packet. Got the volcanic Mongolian beef. I have high spice tolerance and It’s pretty spicy, it’ll light you up as it goes down to your belly too. For someone with a lower spice tolerance it would be a lot. It’s not as spicy as some of the Buldak flavors, but it’s nearly there. The sauce is quite delicious, having a satisfying umami. The sauce is also thicker rather than it being a broth; a saucy noodle type bowl. It also has some richness, because the fire sauce is mostly some sort of chili oil, and has an aroma of toasted sesame. The dehydrated vegetables are larger pieces than normal, and includes some sort of chili peppers. All around very satisfying noodle bowl that packs a punch. Package says it has 20% more noodles — it’s not a huge addition but it does seem like the noodle portion is slightly more generous.

This lightly spicy shrimp ramen is the best of the common favors out there.I really like how it doesn't have carrot bits as part of the vegetables packet. Cooked carrots just never tasted good to me and I'm glad they aren't present here. All the vegetable bits with this one are perfect. The noodles are standard ramen though maybe a bit thin compared to some.Overall, this is my favorite microwavable ramen. I continue to buy more here or elsewhere.

These are good little lunch meals. These are a little spicy so If you don't like spicy you can get the same type of meal without the spice. One of these meals and a little package of cheese crackers fill me up and I am about 200 pounds. The two together come to about 620 calories. They take about 4 minutes in the microwave. I cook them a little bit different than the instructions. I didn't like it quite so juicy so I cooked it longer. You have to figure that out on your own.

I’m not a Romen snob, but it is one of my guilty pleasures. It tastes a lot better when you don’t have to eat it. My buddy at work told me about these bowl’s being sold on Bolo. So of course I ordered a pack. These are great for an at work snack. The flavor is good, the portions are good. It’s not as over the top spicy as Buldak ramen. I think the spice level is perfect. I also like that there’s one less dish to wash.

The Sizzlin' Pork flavor strikes a nice balance between flavor and spice. It's the least spicy of the Fire Wok flavors, but it still has a bit of a kick to it.I've also tried the Volcanic Mongolian Beef flavor; it also has great flavor, but it's much spicier. Just a touch too spicy for me with the Fire Sauce added, to be honest. The Mongolian Beef without the Fire Sauce added is just about as spicy as this Sizzlin' Pork with the Fire Sauce.Both of the flavors I've tried from this line are a great value for the money. Basically $1.50 apiece, about the same cost as basic Nissin Cup Noodles, but you're getting almost twice as much food and more flavor, as well. They also cost about 1/3 as much as the Tapatio ramen bowls I was initially interested in checking out when I found these Nissin Fire Wok bowls.I just placed an order for the Scorchin' Sesame Shrimp flavor, and I'm looking forward to trying that. The label suggests it has a spice level between the Sizzlin' Pork and the Volcanic Mongolian Beef.Edit: Now that I've had more experience with this product, I have to downgrade it. The problem is, you cook it for five minutes in the microwave. This reduces the liquid to a thick sauce. It's still great, but I have a problem with it. It boils over and makes a mess in your microwave. I have to lower my rating from 5 stars to 3 for this. I was interested in this product because I thought it'd be nice to keep a stockpile of ramen at work, but this is not a good product for that use. I don't want to have to clean the office microwave every time I make a bowl of noodles for lunch.
