So far I haven't had any bad terminations with 23awg cable. The boots thankfully fit inside with ease as the cable itself is a cat6a shielded riser cable that measures a smidge over 7mm thick. The outer cable sleeve will not fit inside but that is alright since the strain relief boots locks inside the plugs and I would rather have the shielded foil of the cable to fit snug inside.

Make sure you get the right type - Cat6 vs Cat6a - there is a difference. Nice quick and easy with the full pass through, cables tested well after - at least those where I didnt screw up the wire order ;)

Poor QC or otherwise not manufactured to the advertised spec.I ordered and received model 18102 with advertised max conductor insulation diameter of 1.19mm. My conductor insulation diameter is 1.12mm and I just cannot get the conductors passed through.Too bad I'm past the return window cause now I'm now out $25 for something that is useless to me and has only served to waste my time, frustrate me, and stall a project.

They work fine, but are just too small for shielded cat6a cable, so there is a gap where the sheathing won't fit in.

Built a 10Gig network with these and Cat6A cable, where grounded outlets were required. A bit of work to terminate properly but they work great.

The pictures show a flat/straight pass-thru, which is what I wanted. I find the flat arrangement easier to visually verify wire order. What I received were plugs with a staggered formation, which at least for me, are harder to visually confirm the ribbon order and because the wires are not in individual holes but grooves, they shift around easier.

I have been getting into network installs more and more as I get experience with it. I have done two friends houses. Learned something from each one. I was use to the non-passthrough as I didn't think it would be any different than the passthrough. These were actually very easy to use. It took a few tries to see how these go through, but once I got the hang of it, it was easy to terminate one cable after another. These are very solid and I am very happy that I was able to use something that felt sturdy and would last a very long time.

We had to try many attempts before only a few will work. Please check on the quality of the RJ45 as we cannot use even a single piece now as we are concerned about the quality.
