This was my first time crocheting, and I’m left-handed. It was super easy, and the videos were detailed and explained everything very well. I really appreciated that there were left-handed tutorials as well, because most kits don’t have that. It was a little overpriced, but a fabulous way to get started. All the designs are super cute. I love my little Pierre!

The Woobles do an incredible job of teaching. Highly recommend for all beginners. My 10 year old was gifted his first woobles kit and was able to create his first one all on his own by following the easy to follow video instructions. He now has me "hooked" on it as well. We've now done over half a dozen and seen the instructions relative to others; Woobles has done an incredible job almost full proofing crochet learning. This immensely cuts down on the frustration and simply makes the process fun and engaging! For the beginners kits, they eliminate the hardest part, which is starting off the crochet, and provide step by step video instructions that pauses at the automatically pauses at the perfect increments and also allows you to download PDF instructions for those that like paper. The yarn they provide makes a huge difference in learning as well, because they are no fray, so they eliminate yet another frustration point. They also provide the crochet needle and stitch markers... so you have the complete package of everything you need to create your character without having to hunt down supplies yourself. Overall, an incredibly well thought out educational package that enables even a 10 year old to get going in crochet quickly and with ease and has now been able to follow along other crochet books to create pokemon too!

I was looking for a fun and creative activity and came across this adorable kit on social media so I had to try it! The videos are super easy to follow, and the kit even comes pre-started, which is apparently the hardest part, so it really sets you up for success. I love that if you ever get stuck, you can take a picture of your progress and reach out to their support team they’re so helpful. I’m obsessed with this kit and will definitely be ordering more!

I've been enjoying how this kit and the video instructions teach you some great basic stitches like Single Crochet and Increase! I'm a nooby and trying to learn through youtube has proven... extremely frustrating. With this, I've gotten the hang of how to hold my yarn and hook, keep track of stitches, read basic patterns, and maintain even stitches. Great basics! Great way to learn :).Now for some minor/major complaints depending on what you want from these kits. After Rnd.2 everything gets confusing. I drew out my own pattern for Rounds 4 and 5 (where I left off before writing this) to keep myself from getting too confused, it's pretty easy and I recommend doing that. Tally marks can get frustrating and I'd rather just count my stitches and look at the pattern to see where I should be. Second, the price is a bit steep but I'm more than happy to support this awesome small business. My wallet will be crying though... and that's on me, but these kits feel like they can get addictive fast!I can't wait to see what else the people at Woobles will come up with!

These are great kits for anyone wanting to start to learn to crochet. I’ve completed 4 of this brand of kit so far. I think the penguin is the perfect kit to start (although I did the bunny first). The penguin is easy enough to do.What I like about Woobles:• The kits come with a pre-started magic ring with your first 3 stitches marked.• The videos are broken into tiny chunks with each step explained and easily watched as many times as necessary.• Most supplies come with the kit, but you will need a pair of scissors.• I’ve never run out of yarn and have always had a decent amount leftover.• You get the pattern when you sign up for their website and can print and make as many more penguins as you want with different colors and styles of yarn. So buy the kit once, make it as many times as you want.Things that could be improved:• A pre-printed pattern card would be nice for anyone that doesn’t want to rely solely on the videos. (Yes, I know you can go into your account and download the pattern, but it would be nice if included). Bonus points if it’s laminated so you can use a dry erase marker on it. I’ve seen this in another kit and that was a game changer for tracking progress.• I’ve seen several other kits include a set of scissors. That’s been nice, especially when they work.• I’ve seen other kits include a bent needle and that would be helpful to add as I find it easier to maneuver.• I’ve seen other kits offer both weighted beads and stuffing and that’s been a nice touch. So far, the kits that I’ve done from Woobles only have stuffing.• Price: compared to other kits, these are on the higher end and do not appear to go on sale or are only discounted 10% or so. I’ve seen other kits, which include more and have decent videos to follow for about $10 less and go on sale 30-40%.Overall: I do love these kits and all of my plushies have turned out great following the instructions provided.

For somebody who has never crocheted before, I found this very challenging, but equally as satisfying. The instructions are excellent, and if you really pay attention and our detail oriented, it comes out exactly as it should. Be prepared to undo and redo various parts (many times over in my case), but but in the process of doing so without realizing it, you are picking up all of the nuances of being good at crochet. Important note: if you need help, customer service/support is completely unresponsive. You are basically on your own if you have a problem. Don’t expect any support from the company (this is supposedly one of their selling points for justifying their high prices, but experience has proved it to be otherwise). As far as the price, yes they are expensive, but I would say you are paying for the education more than the product.

I bought this crochet kit because of all the good reviews. Turns out, it is just overpriced t-shirt yarn. Amigurumi is not made with t-shirt yarn. The video is too long. There is no printed instruction booklet either.
So fun and easy!
My daughter had never tried the woobles. She had never done amigurumi before and this kit was so easy to follow!
