This is my first soap shaver. So far it works best for beveling. Just fit the corner in the groove and shave. It does not come with instructions for that. I did several batches in no time at all. I think it’s ok for what I spent, and it being my first shaver. It fits perfectly in a casserole dish (to catch the shavings). It seems like it will hold up for a while. I think it’s worth it.

Excellent product but just aware the blade is very sharp. Fantastic for my candle business. Just wish there was a catch basin to catch your shavings and maybe sticky pads on bottom so it doesn’t slide ( I added my own) but otherwise a great product. Quality and durability is great.

I only gave a 4 star. (I couldn't give it a 4 and a half), because of I could make one suggestion, add little rubber feet on the bottom and maybe a catch tray underneath to catch the shavings. It did take a minute to figure out that the grooves in the base are for getting perfectly shaved corners. That was awesome!

Really not worth even one star. Cheap quality, to adjust the blade you need a Phillips head screw driver that barely fits, even with a small one. It s poor quality in beveling will ruin your soap.Dont buy it.... You will be extremely disappointed
