My husband has low sodium and needs to take the supplements. We used to get it from pharmacy with a prescription from a doctor. One day the pharmacist said to us that we can buy the supplements on Bolo for a cheaper price. Now we get the same brand from Bolo and it is effective.

I always get this brand. I think they work good because I have trouble with Low Sodium. So bad that I was put in the hospital once for it being too low. I did not know it was an electrolyte either.If your Sodium level gets too low, mine was at 25, you get very confused and forgetful and you can go into convulsions, coma, and eventually death.before I found out what the problem was I was actually scared I had Early Alzheimers' Onset. Then when a Dr. did a blood test he called me and told me to go right now to the ER because my Sodium was way too low.Every day when I got up I had no idea what day of the week it was or if it was a weekday or weekend. I'd always have to check my iPhone to know the day of the week. Once I was driving and I got so confused; I did not know where I was, where I was going or where I had come from. This was scary and thank God it lasted for only about 5 mins. I was confused about everything. My husband would tell me the insurance man was coming over in the aft and I'd forget it when he got here. This happened for a lot of things.I can't tell you how happy I was when I found out it was because of low sodium. As soon as the sodium went up all those symptoms left. The Dr. told me to drink only 1.5 ltr. a day. For me, that seemed impossible but I did follow directions. But after a while, you tend to forget and go right back to where you once were. As soon as I'd notice the forgetfulness I'd realize how much I had been drinking.So that is when I began buying these tablets and they help. The forgetfulness and confusion would all clear up. But I was afraid of taking too much. Especially now. I have low stage high blood pressure and am on med. for it. I still use the salt tablets but I am careful. I also take Thermotabs Electrolytes which I get at Bolo also. I want the sodium and potassium. Without these tabs I have Charlie Horses in my legs through the night. They are really painful. With these tabs I don't have them. I take 2 in the morning and that's all. I noticed I was confused again about the day of the week so now I take a salt tablet also but I'm going to try every other day with them. My confusion is gone now. Who knew the importance of salt. I sure didn't. I read an article where your heart needs so much salt also. Everything in our body does in order to function. That was long but I wanted you to know how I know they are working in me and helping me. Both items.

No issues with taking this as prescribed by family member's physician. What can you say about the taste? It's salt. Takes at dinner time with no problems. Some stomach pain associated with use that has developed over a few weeks, so we will see how that goes over the long haul, but that is an expected side effect. Quality is good and all tablets arrived whole.

My sodium level is 25, way too low. I am 81. My doctor has now prescribed sodium bicarbonate. Insurance wouldn't cover it so I went to Costco pharmacy and they will have it for me in two days. Anyone else take sodium bicarbonate out there? Any side effects from it? I took as many as 4 of these tablets a day, and my sodium barely budged. I drink too much liquids for sure which is bad for sodium levels in the human body.

Disliked small quantity (my normal choice is Saffrel 300-ct). Price still good. Quality great, no broken tablets at all. I tend to have low sodium. Gatorade, Pedialyte, PowerAde cost way too much ($0.85 - $1.25 per liter). Salt pill with a liter of tap water less than $0.15.

Shockingly the night after having my blood drawn for my annual physical exam my doctor called to say my sodium levels were dangerously low and start eating more salt. I thought I already was so bought these tablets. Dissolve in 8 ounces of water, and drink. Taste? Disgusting! But expected. I am not a great exerciser, have multiple sclerosis, don't sweat a lot, did drink loads of water before the day of the blood draw to make it easier for the venipuncturist to find a vein. Must have overdone it. After two weeks levels were back to normal. Hyponatremia is scary, you could fall into a coma and die. Everyone is always worried about high blood pressure, salt intake, etc., and that is definitely a problem for some, but everyone's metabolism is different. Salt is a necessary nutrient.
