Ordered this for one of my adult kids - they LOVE it!! Use it in cooking as a spice, sprinkle it on potato chips, ect. They said that this brand is really good!!

This tomato powder is a complete game changer. So excited to have ‘fresh’ tomatoes on hand year round. Spice Way has the best and freshest spices and seasonings I have found at reasonable prices. Easy to use, easy to store, best taste for the money. Order some for yourself!!

A must for non-gardening tomato lovers. Since discovering that supermarket tomatoes no longer carry flavor (and I am unwilling to spend the outrageous prices for 'heirloom' tomatoes) I thought I'd never enjoy a BLT again.Sprinkle a bit of this mixed with some salt over bland supermarket tomato slices and you will notice a 1000% improvement in flavor. I know, of course adding concentrated tomatoes to a tomato would make it taste more like a tomato, but this means cheap veggies can taste like more expensive ones with satisfying authentic flavor. I love a good food hack and now I can enjoy a BLT like the old days.Makes highly colored bread (these tomatoes produce a very orange tint) with intense flavor. Mix with some Italian spices and cheeses for pizza crust or breadsticks. Add a spoonful to sauces or beef stew instead of paste. Add to mayo for a quick burger sauce.Even sweets can benefit. Add a few spoonfuls to vanilla cake batter for a deep mystery flavor. [Anyone over 40 will know this as tomato soup cake, but why not reinvent the wheel now and again? In fact, a tablespoon or two in a mug of hot milk is a quick, satisfying soup...] Add to ice cream batter with nutmeg and a dash of balsamic vinegar for "ketchup" flavored ice cream.It's as good a pantry staple as tomato paste and maybe a bit more versatile.The product itself is fantastic and good quality. The star reduction is for the resealable packaging, which almost never works well with any powdered product. Stuff (namely the product itself) invariably gets in the grooves and it will never seal properly again.Because this product does not use fillers or anti-caking agents it becomes clumpy/almost crystalline if exposed to moisture. It can still be used, but I highly recommend transferring it to a more reliable air-tight container once opened.

Did the job I bought it for (which was to add that little bit of tomato flavor to the odd dish without having to open a perishable can of tomatoes/tomato paste/sauce or buy also very perishable fresh tomatoes). This will dry store for a long time which is the idea. It has a perfect tomato flavor and I haven't noticed any caking yet, but do note that a little goes a long way when cooking with it.

I love this powder! I use it in ramen for an added savory taste. A little goes a long way. It’s basically dehydrated tomato paste and easier to store. Solves a problem for tomato paste lovers who don’t want to use an entire can at once.

Morning smoothies are good, but on cold mornings, you want warm soup.I use this tomato powder to make cup soups. Just put this in a cup with freeze-dried onion and consomme powder, pour in hot water and microwave for a few minutes with your favorite vegetables, celery or carrots, and your soup is ready to serve.Of course, you may prefer to use canned tomatoes or fresh tomatoes, but those can't compete with the ease of this tomato powder.The tomato powder is made from only seasonal tomatoes, you can immediately enjoy the original flavor of tomatos without worrying about additives.I purchased 8 oz. which may seem like a small amount, but the tomatoes are so concentrated that even a small amount was enough.It can be used not only for soups, but also as a substitute for ketchup when you are worried about the sugar content of ketchup, to add richness to tomato sauce, or to knead into bread dough, etc. It can be used in many ways with the ease that only powder can provide.

There was a small hole in the bag n it leaked n with humidity make the other item sticky. Had to put a piece of tape over the hole till I could transfer it out of the original package which is not what I wanted to do. Ordered this item before n put in a jar and it got hard. Ordered another n was going to keep it in the sealed bag but had hole in it. So I’m guessing this will get hard as well. I’ve yet to use this product because of this issue and I will not order again. It was a waste of money.
