I picked this product by accident, expecting it to be like one I had bought before. It is not bad, need to eat it by the handful.Would go well with hot oatmeal or in a salad.

I bought this brand of dried pineapple with the intention of making a tropical trail mix. Making snacks and desserts seasonally for friends and family is my love language. After comparing to several other brands, I chose this one because it appeared to be a good value. Once received and the bag was opened, I was pleasantly surprised to see how small the pieces were. Usually, I have to cut dried fruit into bite sized pieces for consistency throughout the mix but these appeared to be the perfect size. Unfortunately, this particular pineapple did not make the cut. It tastes awful.Other reviews state these are too sugary. I didn't notice them being too sugary but I did notice an artificial, almost chemical-like after-taste dissimilar to artificial sweeteners (which after years of diet soda, I do not object to).To make and give out trail mix using this pineapple would have been unacceptable. I don't believe the taste would go undetected-- even with the array of other fruit and nuts in the mix. I threw the bag away.

The main image of the product along with the name of the product was a bit misleading. There is nothing to gauge size in the main picture, and with the name stating "large", I assumed they would be larger chunks. Like 10 ish pieces from a ring.These are tiny pieces. most smaller than a thumbnail. because the size is so small, the sugar to fruit ratio is much higher making these incredibly sweet. If you are mixing them in to a trail mix or with something to balance out the sweet, it would be fine, but as a snack on their own, the sweetness is a bit overpowering.I'd give the brand another try if they have a pineapple product in a larger cut, but otherwise, I'll be purchasing something else.

Very small over-dried bits. They’re very hard and tasteless. I was at least expecting flavor. I will not be buying again. Also, the bag actually shows figs on the front but has information for pineapple on the back.
