5.0 out of 5 stars A Taste-Test Comparison :-)

My go-tos are (1) Green Mountain's Dark Magic, (2) Peet's Major Dickason's Blend, and (3) San Francisco Bay's Extra Dark Italian. So today, I compared Death Wish Dark Roast (DW) vs. Green Mountain Dark Magic (GM). Here are the results:Appearance & Texture - both were already in ground form, so I could not compare the beans in terms of oily vs. dry, etc. The gounds, as seen in the photo, appeared to be the same in color. Texture of the grounds were also comparable.Smell - from the bag, GM was slightly more aromatic than DW, but they both gave off the delicious smell of fresh coffee. After brewing, again GM's smell was slightly stronger.Taste - As with the slightly stronger smell from GM, GM had a slightly (and when I say slightly, I mean really tiny) bit of an extra bite after you swallow. On the other hand, I found DW to be smoother when swallowed.Brewing - I brewed both with 8oz cold, filtered water, and no sugar. In summary, both DW and GM taste pretty much the same! You can't go wrong with either. They both have a strong, bold, rich flavor, with a wonderful smell. Therefore, I will now add Death Wish Dark Roast coffee to my list of go-tos. In my next analysis, I will compare DW espresso to my go-to Gavina espresso!NOTE: I did not include Peet's to the comparison analysis because Peet's and GM are also very similar, so I didn't bother. It was only added to the pictures for visual purposes.Hope this analysis helps!
5.0 out of 5 stars Taste was superb. After kick was very doable, not a shakey or nervous feeling.
I usually don’t care for “designer” coffees. My granddaughter introduced me to Death Wish when she was a student at NAU (Northern Arizona University) in Flagstaff. Even the store clerk warned me about the strength of the caffeine rush. He said they sell the most around mid-terms & finals. Needless to say I loved it. Both the taste and kick afterwards were great. It was not the least bit bitter.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the price!
If I could only write one word, it would be "addictive". This coffee is a perfect blend with strong bold flavor. While it is a bit pricey, it's worth every penny. I've never had a flavored coffee that I really enjoyed long term like this one.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not my preferred blend.. BUT…
I’m not usually a fruit flavored anything guy, but this coffee is far superior to any flavored coffee I have had. I am a huge fan of Death Wish coffee, though. I may be a little biased. My only complaint with them isn’t even their fault. I wish my local grocer would carry more of their coffees.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Taste but Not the Strongest Coffee in the World
I really enjoy the flavor of Death Wish Medium Roast. It is bold, smooth, and has a great balance for a high-caffeine coffee. However, the company’s claim that this is the strongest coffee in the world feels a bit exaggerated. Personally, I have tried other coffees that are stronger than this one. That being said, this coffee still packs a serious punch. A 12-ounce cup contains around 728 milligrams of caffeine. According to the Food and Drug Administration, the recommended daily limit for an adult is about 400 milligrams, so this is still much higher than most mainstream brands. To give you a better comparison, Death Wish Coffee contains roughly two and a half to three times the caffeine of a standard Starbucks coffee. It is definitely strong. One word of caution though. If you have heart problems or are sensitive to caffeine, you should be careful with this coffee. Not that you would actually do it, but if you drank around 16.9 cups of Death Wish Coffee in one day, you would be taking a permanent coffee break.Overall, this is a great coffee for people who enjoy a strong brew with good flavor. Just be mindful of the caffeine content and know your limits.
5.0 out of 5 stars I cannot start my day without my Death Wish Coffee
I cannot start my day without my Death Wish Coffee! The organic and fair trade blend is not only delicious but also gives me the perfect energy boost to tackle the day ahead. I love the light roast flavor and the fact that it supports ethical sourcing practices. A must-have for any coffee lover!
5.0 out of 5 stars Tasty
It's good but I think I'm going to stick with with no chocolate. I
5.0 out of 5 stars Haven't found nothing stronger
Been drinking this for three years
Really smooth coffee
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } This is my first time trying this coffee, I had admittedly had really low expectations for this brand but it's actually really good. I was expecting it to be acidic because of the high caffeine content but it's the opposite. I drink my coffee black, this coffee tastes great by itself.
Huge kickstart to your mornings
I am not really a morning person, and I really enjoy how coffee can wake you up and give you that kick that you need to jump-start your mornings. I always have a cup of coffee as soon as I wake up, but I was feeling that I needed something a bit stronger. After trying this I can safely say that I have found that energy boost that I need.
no es el mas fuerte
no esta tan fuerte, buen cafe
The World's Strongest (and Tastiest) Coffee!!!
I'm a complete coffee snob and had got used to only the best after living in Guatemala for 2 years. Now back in the UK, I needed something strong and tasty to satisfy my caffeine fix. Deathwish is a great tasting coffee; really dark and strong! For best results, grind the coffee fresh and use an aeropress to give you the world's strongest espresso. I was not a morning person until I found this coffee. I have had 1-2 cups a day for the past 8 months and I will keep coming back for more. Great company, great coffee!
Taste like weak americano
Not worth it.
