This collection is like an overview of all the past shows TJ put together for PBS. So if you like me purchased them all there will be a lot of repeats, BUT this collection has the longer version of some of the songs, and some great songs never on those other collections. One that stands out is "The Twist" by the writer and who 1st released it, Hank Ballard, Drifters Charlie Thomas singing "Save the Last Dance for Me". Now for those who never purchased the several DVDs during PBS membership drives over 20 years, well here is a great opportunity to own and enjoy these performances. This is the last call for these videos, so grab them while you can, and may I add at such a down-to-earth price that you gave $150.00 to get the DVD for that show during membership drives. $60.00 for 7 DVDs with 25 performances on each, plus 2 CDs of the show to play on your audio system makes this a bargain if there ever was one. The 2nd one being offered is the 60's grab that also while you can, I own all those DVDs also from those membership drives. at $150.00 a pop. While this is a good bargain, I must say the audio quality is not as good as the Rhino label releases. These sound much more compressed loud in your face.

If you love music from this era, you will absolutely love this collection. Perfection! Seeing the original performers come out on stage and sing those songs with such passion and exquisite artistry, it really takes you back in time to when you were young and feeling all of those beautiful emotions, emotions that you will re-live watching these performances. Trust me, on some of these songs, you are going to get up out of your seat and dance, they are just that fantastic. I am ordering more copies to give to friends and family.

I love this music wether it's on cd or dvd. It brings back memories of my child h old when my mom and all her sisters and brothers was alive. And most of all the great bands that did the instrumentals for them. That's what makes this music so great. If you love the Olds and it's music then this collection is for you. I wish I could have gotten it way before now..
