1. The hardness of this wax is just right for storage conditions of warehouse.
2. This wax made of food-grade material, it will change with temperature, for example:
1) When the weather is cold, you could use a hair dryer to heat it or stick it on the outer wall of the hot water cup,
and use it after the wax becomes soft, it will fit better.
2) If under very hot conditions, the wax may become very soft and get stuck in the plastic box;
just put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes, then easily separate it from the plastic box.

If you have brackets on your top, back teeth, this wax works better than soft wax. Soft wax just smashes in, and the bracket or wire still pokes through, plus it's difficult to get all of it off. This wax is harder, so it stays on, even at night, and it's easier to get off when your ready. You have to hold it in your hand first, to soften it with the heat of your hand. Your hand cannot be wet, or have any kind of lotion on, or it will be difficult to shape the wax the way you want it. I just smash it into a wad, then push it onto the bracket, and hold it for a bit, to allow the bracket to set into the wax. If you push the wax onto the bracket too fast, the wax will split in half, it's better to push it on slowly. If it splits in half, and gets saliva on it, just throw it away, and make a new wad.

Received my 3Rd Purchase. First two were Great! They were soft, moldable & stayed in place perfectly.I don't know if they changed manufacturers or the formula but the ones I recently bought are horrible.They are much harder, do not mold (breaks up) does not stick well at all

So these aren’t precut like I thought they would be…. But ortho wax is wax… It does the job. It’s just harder for my 8 year old to get the correct amount she needs

Wax was to hard, you have to warm it with your hands before applying to braces. Definitely felt more like candle wax than other orthodontic waxes I’ve used before. It does work once applied but not quick to get to that point. Will not reorder.
