These mats work! I'm no longer embarrassed by horrible outdoor odors when company comes to my house. I no longer am on daily clean duty. I no longer have to replace bushes that have been killed by feral cat urine.

These are just flimsy plastic mats with spikes on them, but they do work. The spikes are long enough and strong enough to deter cats from getting on things you want them away from. I leave them on my porch furniture when we're not using them. And we cut one to fit on top of a bluebird house because a neighborhood cat kept climbing on it after the babies.

This was the most brilliant idea! We have other gardens that we use these before and they're excellent! If you have cats or dogs it totally helps. Don't give up on gardening because you have animals that dig.

I would not give even 1 star but I was forced to. I wouldn't waste my money. They do not work. I bought to keep squirrels and rabbits out of my garden but they don't seem to be bothered.

They work well for cats but when grass or weeds start to grow underneath them not so much. The spikes need to be longer if you use this over grass. no good unless you put down some weed killer There useless. the price is to much for what you get.

Was putting up decor and back onto to. Yikes! But seriously, I'll be putting it under my Christmas Tree in a hope that the tree will still be standing the next day. I'll let you know how it goes.--- ok, so didn't work under the tree. They merely jumped onto the tree skipping the mats. Plan B I put the mats into the tree- deep inside where the branches connect to the trunk. I cannot see them, even when looking for them. Took a photo but it really doesn't show up. Which is great! Cats checked it out, and said no way. So far they are sitting under the tree but no longer climbing it! Perfect!

The neighborhood cats were using my beautiful planter garden as a litter box. I tried several different deterrents, but nothing worked. I found these, and gave them a try. They worked!! YAY!! These are pictures of my raised flower bed last year in May. All was well until about a month ago (February) I noticed that some of the spike mats had been pushed around and moved a bit so a cat could use the area for its litter box again. I will not be thwarted! So I ordered the "GROWNEER 50 Pack 12 Inches Heavy Duty 11 Gauge Galvanized Steel Garden Stakes" and used those to push down over the spike mats to keep them in place. I am victorious again! But now I saw more cat poop wherever there was NOT a spike mat or a mat not secured down well with a garden stake. I ordered another pack of the garden stakes and more spike mats to cover EVERY SQUARE INCH so that there is no spot that is not securely covered. The war continues!

The cats don't walk on it, and they don't climb or play with the ornaments on the tree. It would just be uncomfortable for them to walk on it, it would not injure or hurt them.

Wear thick gloves when putting it together
Extremely painful on the fingers trying to click the pieces together. It's ok once connected, but not on ledges for cats without being weighed down. You need heavy plant pots or something if you're not going to drill it into a surface or embedding in soil.
Works good
One package was good enough to fill a two seat couch and arm rest. Now the cat has no option but to nap in her own bed. :)
