Polyurethane is everywhere. It is one of the most common plastics. With the Bonding Poly Process (Process) you can quickly, easily and permanently repair polyurethane. The many characteristics of polyurethane, can make it hard to distinguish. It can be soft or hard, rigid or flexible. It is in everything from mattresses to roller blade wheel. For this reason, when bonding Polyurethane, the most important consideration is to ensure that you have a versatile adhesive. Because polyurethane can be soft or hard, stiff or flexible and can be in and around virtually anything, a surface insensitive bonding agent, that can take on the characteristics of whatever you are bonding it to, is imperative. Polyurethane is made from isocyanates and polyols. Much like other poly’s, it has a lower surface energy, that makes it harder to glue polyurethane, no matter the form. Fortunately the Process transforms what would be a strictly superficial ‘sticky’ glue join, into a substrate deep molecular meld. Glue joins are exposed and are not permanent. The Process uses the laws of chemistry and physics, to form covalent bonds between the monomers and polymers of each surface. I do not write reviews, but I was so impressed by this stuff that I felt compelled to put in a good word. I’ve never seen a glue come close to doing what this bonding system can do.I first came across this product because I needed to join two pieces of urethane of different hardnesses (93a and 78a) to make a custom bushing for a skateboard truck. These bushings control the turning of a downhill longboard skateboard, and are subjected to tremendous forces over a wide variety of aatemperatures (single digits to upper 90s, in F). The bond has not only held, but the two different urethanes have maintained their original flex properties, which was crucial to my project.As far as I know, no other “glue” on earth can do this. I have since used this stuff for a ton of little things around the house and work.I will never not have this stuff on hand. If they were going out of business, I would buy 10 of these kits to make sure I never run out.

The directions tell you to let chemicals dry. It gives you no idea how long. It tells you to heat till hot to the touch. I tried to bond a rubber o ring that is about .25" in diameter. I tried several different ways and drying times. The joint was not flexible at all. I had to stretch the o ring to get it on and it took several bonding tries before it would not break at the same spot. I finally got it on and it lasted about 4 hours before it snapped open again.

Ad says "Metal" and "Silicone". I bought to stick silicone sheets onto aluminum. The aluminum was sanded semi rough and thoroughly cleaned. It bonded to the silicone very well, but not to the aluminum at all. Stuck so poorly that the drops in threaded holes actually were able to be screwed out intact. Tried it on two pieces of bare aluminum and it was as if there was nothing holding them together at all. Fell right apart.Another note, not in a bad way, just an observation in case anyone tries to use it for silicone, It made the silicone very brittle. The product didn't advertise as flexible so I'm not considering this bad. But when stretched, the glue on the back of the silicone shattered and ripped the silicone with it instead of stretching.

The prep spay was empty when I went to use my kit, and the adhesive material was basically another form of super glue

I have been using this stuff since 2016 it’s made for plastic only it is waterproof & if you use it correctly it will do the job. It is like supper glue but it is a lot better than supper glue. If you watch it mend plastics together you can almost see it smoking & bonding the broken piece back on. When it’s done repairing your item it will not brake in the same place you glued. Do not try this on rubber, ceramics or aluminum it’s just not going to work on those items.
